🌿 WE NEED YOU! Help Keep Little Elm Beautiful! 🌿

Keep Little Elm Beautiful (KLEB) is looking for people who want to get involved, give back, and help make our community an even better place to call home!

Whether you want to become a committee member, join one of our subcommittees, or simply volunteer when your schedule allows, there’s a place for you at KLEB! 💚

🌱 Find Your Place at KLEB

We have several areas where you can put your interests, ideas, and talents to work:

🌸 Beautification Subcommittee
Help create and support projects that make Little Elm more beautiful—from landscaping and community improvement projects to finding new ways to add a little more color to our town.

🧤 Cleanup Subcommittee
Help organize and participate in community cleanups throughout Little Elm. Cleaner streets, parks, neighborhoods, and public spaces start with people willing to pitch in.

🎓 Scholarship Subcommittee
Help support and recognize local students through KLEB’s scholarship program, including promoting the opportunity, reviewing applications, and helping with the selection process.

📣 Communications Subcommittee
Help tell the KLEB story! Work with social media, community outreach, event promotion, volunteer recruitment, and finding creative ways to let Little Elm know what we’re doing and how they can participate.

🌱 Youth Subcommittee
Give young people a voice in keeping Little Elm beautiful! Youth members can participate in community projects, cleanups, beautification efforts, environmental activities, and help develop ideas specifically aimed at getting the next generation involved.

It’s a great opportunity to make a difference, develop leadership skills, meet other young people, and earn community service hours.

🙋 Just Want to Volunteer? We Need You Too!

You don’t have to join a committee or attend regular meetings to make a difference.

KLEB needs volunteers for cleanups, beautification projects, community events, special projects, and more throughout the year.

Give an hour. Give a Saturday. Join a subcommittee. Bring us an idea.

You decide how involved you want to be.

📣 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 💚♻️

Keep Little Elm Beautiful needs a few helping hands for our upcoming Paper Shredding Event!

📅 Saturday, September 26, 2026
📍 Little Elm Elementary 2600 Hart Rd Little Elm, TX 75068 (formerly Chavez Elementary)
⏰ Time: 2 shift options, 7am-10am or 930am-1230pm

We’re looking for volunteers to help keep everything running smoothly. Volunteer duties may include:

🚧Set up and Take down
🚗 Directing traffic
👟 Collecting sneakers for recycling
👉 Helping provide directions
🌱 Passing out seed packets
😊 And being a friendly face for our community!

No special skills needed—just bring your smile and be ready to help! This is a great opportunity for students needing service hours, families, groups, or anyone looking to give back to Little Elm. Ages 10+ welcome.

🎨 🌹Something COLORFUL is coming this fall!** 🌼🎨

The Keep Little Elm Beautiful team spent some time today planning a special project for a very deserving Little Elm elementary school. 💚💙

We can’t spill all the details just yet… but let’s just say there are **big plans, bright colors, and plenty of KLEB magic** in the works! ✨🌻🎨

We can’t wait to bring this project to life and add a little extra color to a place that helps our community’s youngest residents learn, grow, and shine. 🌱

Every bottle, box, and can placed in the right bin helps conserve resources, reduce waste, and support a cleaner community.

🌎🇺🇸 Celebrate Freedom. Care for the Future. 🌱

This Fourth of July, let's celebrate not only our nation's independence, but also the small choices that help keep our communities healthy and beautiful for generations to come.

Here are a few simple ways to make your holiday a little more sustainable:
🌿 Shop local for your cookout ingredients.
♻️ Recycle cans, bottles, and cardboard.
🥗 Compost fruit and vegetable scraps instead of throwing them away.
💧 Use reusable plates, cups, and utensils when possible.
🌻 Plant flowers that support bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
🗑️ Leave parks, neighborhoods, and gathering places cleaner than you found them.

Registration includes dynamic education techniques, individualized consultation by experienced landscapers, sample materials to explore, landscape design tools to take home, and lunches and snacks for both days of the course.

♻️We had a little fun, got completely soaked, and collected plenty of cans and w**e bottles for recycling at Saturday’s Brew & Que! And we met many friends and even caught the Rainbow after the storm. 🌈

A big thank you to all the vendors for welcoming us and setting aside their cans for collection.

We’re also incredibly grateful to our amazing volunteers, who worked through the rain and were always ready to lend a helping hand.

Special thanks to the Little Elm Parks & Recreation team for helping with the final push and making sure all the bags made it to the recycling container.

And last but certainly not least, thank you to our sponsor Community Waste Disposal for everything they do behind the scenes to help us prepare and make the day a success.

We appreciate everyone who helped make this event possible!

Huge congratulations to Crescent Oaks for taking home one of the Little Free Libraries donated by Keep Little Elm Beautiful and Jesse Jacobs as part of the Operation Shore to Shore and our HOA cleanup competition!

A massive thank you to Joe Rhoades for personally building TWO of these incredible libraries by hand. They turned out absolutely beautiful and are going to make such a positive impact in the community for years to come. Also a special shoutout to Swaney Built Roofing and Construction for generously donating the shingles that helped bring these projects together. Community support like this is exactly what makes events like Operation Shore to Shore possible.

And finally, thank you to Amy Martin for leading the Crescent Oaks cleanup team and proudly accepting the prize on behalf of the winning HOA. Your leadership, volunteer spirit, and dedication to keeping Texas beautiful did not go unnoticed.
