The Keep Little Elm Beautiful team spent some time today planning a special project for a very deserving Little Elm elementary school. 💚💙

We can’t spill all the details just yet… but let’s just say there are **big plans, bright colors, and plenty of KLEB magic** in the works! ✨🌻🎨

We can’t wait to bring this project to life and add a little extra color to a place that helps our community’s youngest residents learn, grow, and shine. 🌱

🌎🇺🇸 Celebrate Freedom. Care for the Future. 🌱

This Fourth of July, let's celebrate not only our nation's independence, but also the small choices that help keep our communities healthy and beautiful for generations to come.

Here are a few simple ways to make your holiday a little more sustainable:
🌿 Shop local for your cookout ingredients.
♻️ Recycle cans, bottles, and cardboard.
🥗 Compost fruit and vegetable scraps instead of throwing them away.
💧 Use reusable plates, cups, and utensils when possible.
🌻 Plant flowers that support bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
🗑️ Leave parks, neighborhoods, and gathering places cleaner than you found them.

Every small action adds up. Together, we can celebrate today while protecting tomorrow.

♻️We had a little fun, got completely soaked, and collected plenty of cans and wine bottles for recycling at Saturday’s Brew & Que! And we met many friends and even caught the Rainbow after the storm. 🌈

A big thank you to all the vendors for welcoming us and setting aside their cans for collection.

We’re also incredibly grateful to our amazing volunteers, who worked through the rain and were always ready to lend a helping hand.

Special thanks to the Little Elm Parks & Recreation team for helping with the final push and making sure all the bags made it to the recycling container.

And last but certainly not least, thank you to our sponsor Community Waste Disposal for everything they do behind the scenes to help us prepare and make the day a success.

We appreciate everyone who helped make this event possible!

Huge congratulations to Crescent Oaks for taking home one of the Little Free Libraries donated by Keep Little Elm Beautiful and Jesse Jacobs as part of the Operation Shore to Shore and our HOA cleanup competition!

A massive thank you to Joe Rhoades for personally building TWO of these incredible libraries by hand. They turned out absolutely beautiful and are going to make such a positive impact in the community for years to come. Also a special shoutout to Swaney Built Roofing and Construction for generously donating the shingles that helped bring these projects together. Community support like this is exactly what makes events like Operation Shore to Shore possible.

And finally, thank you to Amy Martin for leading the Crescent Oaks cleanup team and proudly accepting the prize on behalf of the winning HOA. Your leadership, volunteer spirit, and dedication to keeping Texas beautiful did not go unnoticed.
