We'll be joining our friends from RescueMe at Petco Highland Village this weekend!

Come meet some adorable adoptable kitties (and maybe your new best friend/future supreme overlord) 🐱✨

While you’re there, help us stock the FLEAS Pet Pantry shelves by donating some pet food to support local animals in need—because a full belly makes for happy purrs and tail wags.

🐾🍁 Join Us on Sunday, October 18th — Adoption Event + Community Pet Food Drive! 🍁🐾

This Sunday, October 18th, we’re hosting a special adoption event at Petco Highland Village, and we’re adding something meaningful to support our community. Alongside meeting our wonderful adoptable cats and kittens, we’re partnering with FLEAS (Friends of Little Elm Animal Support) for a pet food drive to help local families in need.

FLEAS provides essential food resources to people and their pets right here in our community, ensuring that no one has to face hardship alone. You can learn more about their mission at www.fleastx.org.

💛 How you can help:
Bring dry cat or dog food to donate during the event. Every bag makes a difference for families who are struggling and for the pets they love.

RETRAINING THOSE PAWS (IN STYLE!) 🕶️🐾

Ginger officially started her post-op physical therapy last week—and yes, the protective "doggles" for her laser sessions are 100% required (and 1000% adorable)! 😎✨

While her surgery successfully straightened her femur, getting her walking normally again is a whole new challenge. Because her old injury had healed at that severe angle, Ginger walked with an unnatural stride for so long that her leg muscles contracted.

Even with a straight leg, her brain and body still rely on that old muscle memory. That’s where her new routine comes in! Through laser therapy, targeted physical therapy, and underwater treadmill sessions, her care team at Atlas Pet Vets is working to gently stretch those tight muscles and retrain her how to walk correctly again.

She is working so hard to get her full mobility back, and we couldn't be prouder of her progress! 💖

🐾 Paws, reflect, and recharge.

Did you know that just a few minutes of petting a dog or cat can lower cortisol (the stress hormone) and boost oxytocin (the feel-good hormone)?

Our pets do more than just warm our laps—they ground us, offer unconditional love, and remind us to stay present when life feels overwhelming. Whether it's a silent study session with your cat, a brisk trail walk with your dog, or just sitting quietly with your feather/fur baby, taking a mental health break is always better together.

Today on , take a cue from your pets:
✨ Stretch.
✨ Go for a walk.
✨ Take a nap.
✨ Be kind to yourself.

How is your furry family member helping you unwind today? Drop a photo or story below! 👇🐶🐱

Meet Inky, resident FOMO expert proving that black cats bring nothing but love and fun this Black Cat Awareness Month! 🖤✨

At 7 months old, Inky believes every event is about him and every person (or cat) is an instant best friend. He loves chasing toys, pouncing on his siblings, and making sure he's right in the middle of all the action. After a tough stretch of being sick, Inky is fully recovered and ready to put all that behind him for what kittens do best: playing, causing a little playful trouble, and soaking up endless affection.

Don't let superstition hold you back—come meet Inky at Little Elm Animal Services and let him join your house party! 🐾
