Lititz got a little sweeter today! 🍫

Our Luther Acres - A Luthercare Community residents joined the community for the Lititz Chocolate Walk, serving up triple chocolate browned butter cookies made by our talented Luther Acres dining team.

Rich chocolate, nutty browned butter and plenty of chocolatey goodness made these cookies a treat worth stopping for! We’re proud of the creativity and skill our dining team brings to the table, finding delicious ways to bring people together and make community events even more special.

Active Aging Week is all about finding ways to stay active, curious and connected, and our communities found plenty of ways to do just that!

At Luther Acres - A Luthercare Community, residents took a historic walking tour of downtown Lititz with the Lititz Historical Foundation, exploring more than 270 years of local history, from Lititz’s Moravian beginnings to the people, architecture and stories behind its historic Main Street.

Over at St. John's Herr Estate - A Luthercare Community, residents welcomed the start of autumn with a hike to Mill Creek Falls, led by naturalists from the Lancaster Conservancy. Along the way, they learned about local flora and fauna, the history of York County and the natural landscape surrounding the falls.

Both outings offered more than a chance to get moving. They brought people together, sparked conversation and learning, and encouraged residents to stay engaged with our communities and natural spaces around them. 💙

Some of the best memories are made when there’s a little bit of everything. 🍁

At The Wittel Farm today, Luthercare residents and Luthercare for Kids children spent the morning experiencing fall together during Harvesting Memories Across Generations. There were wagon rides, chickens to feed, a bunny to pet, garlic to plant and fall flowers to investigate. 🌱🐓🐇

But the real takeaway was something you can’t put in a wheelbarrow: time spent together across generations. 💙

Our Luther Acres residents are back home after an incredible week in the Canadian Rockies, but we still have plenty of photos to share! 🇨🇦🏔️

To end their trip, a group of our residents boarded the Rocky Mountaineer and took in the Canadian Rockies from a whole new perspective. Mountains, forests, rivers and plenty of spectacular views made for one memorable train ride. 🚂

There’s something wonderful about seeing friends and neighbors from Luther Acres - A Luthercare Community head off on an adventure together, then come home with stories, photos and plenty to talk about.

And we’d say the views from the train were pretty hard to beat!

🍂 We’re getting ready for a morning full of fall fun at Wittel Farm! 🌱

Luthercare’s Harvesting Memories Across Generations is coming up on Tuesday, October 6, from 9AM to 12PM, and we’re looking forward to a morning filled with fall fun, time together and plenty to discover!

Luthercare residents, priority waitlist members, early learners, team members and their families will enjoy hayrides, pumpkin decorating, apple c***r, seasonal treats and time to explore the farm. We’ll also have a special planting activity, with residents and children working together to plant spinach and lettuce for the winter months. 🎃🌱

It’s a chance to get outside, enjoy the season and create some new memories across generations! 💙

On Monday, we hit the greens at Bent Creek Country Club for the 32nd Annual Tee It Up for Kids Golf Tournament! ⛳️

Since the first swing in 1994, this tournament has brought together generous businesses, organizations and individuals to help make high-quality early learning accessible to more children and families.

Proceeds support the Luthercare for Kids Scholarship Fund, which provides vital assistance to families who may otherwise struggle to afford child care. Nearly half of the children in our Luthercare for Kids Early Learning Centers need scholarship support, making the generosity behind this event especially meaningful.

Today, residents and team members from Luther Acres - A Luthercare Community and St. John's Herr Estate - A Luthercare Community came together for the Walk to End Alzheimer's, standing alongside others in our community who are committed to making a difference.

At Luthercare, we understand how deeply Alzheimer's affects individuals, families and the people who care for them. Every step taken helps raise awareness, support those navigating the disease and fund research that brings us closer to a future without Alzheimer's.

We were proud to support this important cause by sponsoring the pet area and joining together for a day filled with purpose, compassion and hope. Thank you to everyone who walked with us and continues to make a difference for those affected by Alzheimer's. 💙💜

Today, on National Food Service Workers Day, we’re celebrating the dining teams at Luther Acres - A Luthercare Community and St. John's Herr Estate - A Luthercare Community! They know the people they serve, remember the little things and bring a welcoming presence to the table. Whether it’s serving up a favorite dish or taking a few minutes to catch up, they help create the kind of everyday moments that make a community feel like home.

Some of our Luther Acres - A Luthercare Community residents traded in their usual views for the Canadian Rockies this week, and they’ve been busy taking it all in! 🇨🇦🏔️

From Emerald Lake, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and Peyto Lake to Natural Bridge, Mirror Lake and Maligne Lake, they’ve covered some serious ground. They even took a boat cruise to Spirit Island and walked the Skywalk at Athabasca Glacier.

And then there’s the wildlife. Bighorn sheep, elk, white-tailed deer, mule deer and, yes, a grizzly bear! 🐻

Not a bad way to spend a week! 💙
