August brought our first Chef’s Table to the New Neighborhood at Luther Acres - A Luthercare Community, and the evening was a true celebration of the tomato! 🍅
The menu took Washington Borough tomatoes in some wonderfully unexpected directions, from tomato concasse and tomato-watermelon salad to a herb panko-crusted fried green tomato, charred beef and tomato Cobb, tomato-lemon braised red snapper and a candied tomato-goat cheesecake to finish. Each course offered a fresh take on a familiar summer favorite.
But the best part of the evening went beyond what was on the plate. The Chef’s Table gave neighbors an opportunity to sit down together, share a memorable meal and get to know one another, while also connecting with members of our leadership team who are part of the Luther Acres community.
It was an evening centered around excellent cuisine, thoughtful conversation and the connections that make a neighborhood feel like home. We’re already looking forward to the next Chef’s Table! 💙
