Hey Linwood! Let’s get out and support our newest local business, Lindogs. Currently open for business and open until 9:00 pm. Our dogs are already addicted to their pup cups and are asking for daily trips. Your family will love it too. Delicious 😋 hard serve ice cream in many yummy flavors, sundaes, shakes, etc. Table and lawn games to entertain while slow eaters avoid 🧠 🥶.

The Michigan sport fishing alternative for the Kentucky Derby: Linwood hosted the Michigan Walleye Tournament this weekend and had a big turnout of fishing pros, enthusiasts and spectators. Got spring fever? You are not alone. The first day of spring is right around the corner. Despite the ice, migrating birds are making their way north and a sign of sunnier days ahead. You can watch them from the spotting scopes at the Linwood Scenic Access Site. These ducks, geese, and mainly swans are hanging out at the mouth of the marina. Eagles and seagulls are all around too.

Don't miss out on the opportunity to be part of the fishing frenzy before the weather warms up. I bumped into an individual at the marina who spent the day ice fishing at a depth of 21 feet and returned with a bucket full of perch and a 24-inch walleye. Should be perfect conditions this weekend.

UPDATED: Are returnables taking over your garage space? If you'd like to declutter while supporting a community initiative, Milissa's Dance Studio is collecting bottles, cans and monetary 💰 donations Mondays through Thursdays until the end of FEBRUARY. Donations can be left at their back door (monetary should be hand-delivered), and will help fund the studio's upcoming dance recital, which has been impacted by increased costs for costumes, Western High School auditorium rental, and backdrop. Milissa's provides dance classes for kids, teens, and adults, and is located in the Knights of Columbus building across from Village Inn.
