Guess what day it is Linwood? 🐫 It’s a great day to mark your calendars for Valentine’s Day 2027 to take your sweetie, family, just come yourself or bring a friend for a pancake breakfast hosted by the Kawkawlin Fire Department and sponsored by various local businesses.

As the sun was going down yesterday, there were still 5 boat trailers as people were taking advantage of the access to the bay from the Linwood beachside park. If you look w-w-w-a-a-a-y-y-y in the background on the picture facing East, you’ll see that some LCIC volunteers have prepared the way for snowmobile access with the orange snow fencing. Welcome November, the end of Fall 🍁as we all anticipate when the first snowfall ❄️ will happen. Happy Monday, folks!

Take your pick and come live in a quaint community settled on the western shores of Saginaw Bay surrounded by the Tri-Cities: Bay City, Midland, and Saginaw. A wonderful place to live 💗

Smooth water and beautiful full October moon over Saginaw Bay from the Linwood shoreline this evening. Peaceful end to a glorious Fall weekend in Michigan. Wish this weather and the colors of the trees could last for a few more weeks.

Seems like just yesterday they were talking about doing this and now it’s done! Thanks to our local leaders for keeping their promise to reinforce the road to the end of the Linwood Scenic Access Site park. It looks so much better and more stable. The repaving will happen some time in the summer of 2027.

I would like to give the Linwood Civic Improvement Club a heartfelt thank you for taking the time to wish me a happy retirement. I must say that my years spent in Linwood gave me the opportunity to meet some very amazing people. While I did not get the opportunity to see all of you before my last day, I really appreciate all the supportive and well wishes that you have taken the time to share. I considered Linwood to be my “second home” as I spent as much time there as I did my own.

Many of you have shared personal experiences and information with me over the years as well. I am very honored to have been a part of your lives and families. I’ve not only shared in the great news and accomplishments. I’ve also shared in your health struggles as well as the sorrow and sadness with the loss of family members. For I too, knew them. My prayers are ongoing for you all. Given all the “free time” I have now, I will certainly be visiting now and then. Hopefully I’ll get to see and catch up with some of you. May your lives be filled with blessings, joy and peace as well as feeling God’s love surrounding you today and always! ✝️
