Vision- Conserving our outdoor heritage for future generations.

The Great Lakes Outdoorsman Foundation was established in order to promote conservation, preservation and sustainment of unique American outdoor traditions. The organization is non-profit and emphasizes locally focused volunteer programs in order to achieve the goals set in the mission statement.

5th annual “Casting For A Cause”🎣 Our event that brings our community (and beyond) together through a passion for teaching the next generation how to fish and conserve our great outdoors! A special thanks goes out to Dick Williams Gun Shop, Bay City Lions Club, FM Custom Designs, volunteers and many more for making this event possible! Our event has not only inspired local businesses/organizations, but out of state businesses to donate as well. We were also thankful to team up with the Bay City Lions Club to have them provide on-sight eye screening for the students as well. Thank you to the Bay-Arenac ISD for allowing our foundation to continue to provide this great opportunity for your students. We hope to provide this opportunity for many years to come!

Spring is a reminder that conservation never stops. As the woods come back to life, so does our commitment to protecting wildlife, preserving habitat, and passing on the hunting tradition to the next generation. 🦃 🌱 Good luck to all of the spring turkey hunters and fishermen!

Unable to attend the banquet, but still looking to get in on a raffle the night of the banquet? We are selling tickets for our Great Lakes Outdoorsman Raffle! Of course those that will be attending the banquet can purchase these tickets as well! We have some great items on the list this year, one of which we are very excited about, the Sig Sauer rifle scope valued at $800. The scope utilizes Ballistic Data Xchange and Bluetooth! There’s something special about teaching the younger generation the values that come with hunting—patience, responsibility, and deep appreciation for the land. Very grateful to pass down a tradition that connects us across time.
