Lindenhurst Community Cares Coalition To reduce the misuse of substances by youth and create a support network and environment in which everyone believes they can thrive.

We are a volunteer group run by Lindenhurst residents. Outside of our full time responsibilities, we do the best we can to help our community. We are open to new ideas and welcome your help! If there is an important event that you would like us to know about, please feel free to contact us. We can only help others with the full support of our community.

We truly appreciate the ongoing support of the Regional Prevention Resource Center directors and staff. Their dedication to sharing best practices, providing training and technical assistance, and exploring new collaboration opportunities truly strengthens our prevention system in New York State. We hosted the annual gathering in Albany this month.⭐

Lindenhurst Student Council students had the opportunity to sit down with motivational speaker and author Bobby Petrocelli following this year’s Shattered Dreams program at Lindenhurst High School. 💙🎤

The conversation focused on making positive choices, overcoming challenges, and the importance of thinking before making decisions that can change lives forever. As prom season approaches, we encourage all students to celebrate safely, look out for one another, and remember that one decision can have a lasting impact.

A special thank you to Megan Scharf and the Lindenhurst Student Council for helping make this opportunity possible and for continuing to create meaningful conversations and experiences for students.

Thank you again to Bobby Petrocelli for taking the time to speak with our students and continue such an important conversation. Stay safe, Lindenhurst, and enjoy prom season responsibly! ✨
