We loved having the girls from Upward Community | Mental Health Expeditions Older Girls bunk volunteer in our Clothing Department!

Back-to-school shopping just got a whole lot easier! Our School Supplies Store is open, giving local families a one-stop place to get the supplies their children need - all free of charge.

This year, thanks to a generous donation from Zemskys Uniforms , we’re also offering an expanded selection of school uniforms!

We’re grateful to our amazing volunteers who have been busy organizing and getting everything ready.

Our volunteers don’t just show up - they notice needs and find ways to help.

That’s exactly what happened when ChesedChicago received a large donation of senior care essentials. Rather than let the surplus go unused, Mrs. Bina Simon, a dedicated ChesedChicago food pantry volunteer, connected with Park Plaza Chicago , where an immediate need became clear.

What started as a one-time distribution grew into a permanent “Dignity Closet,” stocked and managed by Bina, where residents can access essential products free of charge.

Recently, Park Plaza recognized Bina with a Certificate of Recognition from LeadingAge Illinois for her incredible volunteer work.

And the partnership goes both ways! A few years ago, Park Plaza staff held a winter coat drive at their holiday party as a thank-you to ChesedChicago for the senior supply program, donating dozens of coats for local children.

One volunteer. One amazing partnership. So much impact.
