Our native plants area got a much-needed weeding today! We spent 2.5 hours and there's still more to be done, but we got 3 full lawn bags of weeds out. Along the way, we found a praying mantis, an ootheca, part of a shoestring, half a pencil, chapstick, a hex key, sidewalk chalk, and so many worms. It was great to see so many people out walking, and the raised bed is doing great things too! We counted over 11 cantaloupe. 🐛🌿

We're kicking off the year by planting strawberries in our hydroponic tower, "Drippy," which will be featured in Ms. Haecker's artroom!

Our 19 units are sparkling clean and labeled, and we've have scheduled our first planting day for Aug 31st.

We're so excited to welcome ONLY our kindergartners to Roper on August 12th. Classroom teachers will send an email introducing themselves on August 5th. They will also tell you which door to meet at in the morning. All 1st-5th grade students will attend starting August 13th.

Dear Families,

Today was officially our last Bookmobile day of the summer! If you still have library books at home, you can return them to any Lincoln City Libraries location.

We have had an incredible summer together, but we are down to our final 3 drop-in sessions. Here is what’s coming up:

Thursday, July 23rd @ 10:30 AM
Activities: Junk journals, paper airplanes, and Bingo!
As always, LEGOs and board games will also be available.

Tuesday, July 28th
Activity: Roper Library Day with activities hosted by the Girl Scouts!
Reminder: Please bring any remaining library books back today.

Thursday, July 30th (Our Last Day!)
Activity: Movie day with popcorn and juice boxes, plus one final game of Bingo!
Feel free to bring a cozy blanket and a favorite snuggly.

🍏 Food Program Reminder
The Food Program will continue running until Friday, August 7th, even after our drop-in sessions wrap up on July 30th.
