ZyKeria Epps is the recipient of our final scholarships, receiving two awards totaling $500.

She is the recipient of the Eliza K. Stockdale Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $250. This scholarship was donated in her memory by her grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Swain.

Last week, we awarded our final three scholarships to two of our seniors. Sariah Green was the recipient of the Michael A. Pearson Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $500. This scholarship was donated by Mr. Pearson’s children — Lakeshia, Carwarren, and Jessica in his memory.

We would like to thank the Pearson family for their continuous support each year and for being such a blessing to our seniors. We pray for a hundredfold return on the seeds you have sown and continue to sow.

Join in and help us congratulate Sariah. Sariah will be attending Tennessee State University in the fall.

Introducing our 2026 Graduates! 🎓
We divided, conquered, and made it to all three graduations!

Girls, you are ROYALTY (1 Peter 2:9) chosen, a royal priesthood, and God’s special possession. You made it to the finish line of this chapter, and now you are preparing to embark on a brand-new journey. We pray God does exceedingly, abundantly, above all you could ask or think!!

In the words of Maya Angelo, “You are enough. You have nothing to prove to anybody.” It’s now time for you to go and apply all the things you have been taught. Go out into the world, shine brightly, and make us proud! ❤️.

Yesterday during our monthly session, we celebrated by awarding our remaining scholarships to our final two seniors! We will spotlight each award recipient and their generous donors in separate posts.

Along with the celebration and a fun TikTok challenge, we also had an impactful lesson on “Friendships.” We discussed what it truly means to be a friend and how to recognize the different types of relationships in our lives.

Our discussion focused on 3 circles:
1. Friends — mutual relationships built on trust, support, and respect. The key word is mutual.
2. Associates — sometimes those we may need to keep on “watch alert” fall into this circle.
3. Out of Here — no association, only cordial interactions and sometimes no interaction. At this stage, we use our imaginary scissors ✂️ and cut them off.

It was a wonderful session filled with celebration, laughter, learning, and growth! Check out a few photos from yesterday’s session. Special shoutout to Mentor Shania, Mentor Shunda, and Mentor DeAndra for stepping up to the challenge and joining the girls for some TikToking fun!

The Exceptional Achievement Scholarship is awarded yearly based on the availability of funding. To qualify, a mentee must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA, have good attendance, and exemplify extraordinary leadership skills within the program. This scholarship is generously donated by Mr. and Mrs. Godwin and family in memory of Mr. James Orr and Tyrone Jordan in the amount of $500. Mrs. Godwin is a retired educator from Lincoln High School and also serves as the Vice-President of our Board of Directors.

TyKyra is truly our peacemaker. As you can imagine, from time to time there may be a little friction among teenage girls, but TyKyra has consistently been a positive influence. She helps keep the girls on the right track and leads by example. She carries herself with maturity, focus, class, and is a wonderful example to her peers.

We are excited to see TyKyra’s next chapter unfold and all that she will accomplish. Kudos to her parents, job well done! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of her journey and a part of your village.

We also extend our sincere thanks to the Godwin/Orr family for your continued faithful support. We are extremely grateful and pray a hundredfold return on every seed sown.

A special thank you to Ms. DeAndra Elston, who was present to award this scholarship to her mentee.

Join in and help us congratulate Tykyra Howard!

Lincoln High School 2026 Awards’ Day is in the books! Today, we had the honor of awarding 2 of our 5 scholarships, both of which were presented to TyKyra Howard.

The Jeremiah A. Rock Memorial Scholarship, donated by Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Embry in the amount of $500 in memory of their son, continues to be a blessing to our graduating seniors. We are incredibly grateful to the Embry family for their faithful support each year since we began awarding scholarships to our graduates.

Mrs. Embry attends the Senior Awards’ Day every year, and this year was especially meaningful as Jeremiah’s sister, Trinity, had the honor of presenting the scholarship to our recipient. Trinity is also a part of our program, making the moment even more special. We pray a hundredfold return on every seed sown.

Please join us in congratulating TyKyra Howard on this outstanding achievement!

Ms. DeAndra Elston is her mentor.
