When the fire destroyed our Lincoln Food Pantry building back in June, we were faced with an unimaginable loss. In a single moment, the hub where we stored food, packed bags, and served our neighbors was gone. But what could have been the end of our story quickly became a testament to the power of unity and resilience.
From day one, the way our community and key partners have rallied around us has been nothing short of inspiring.
We owe an immense debt of gratitude to the City Of Lincoln, Alabama for standing shoulder-to-shoulder with us from the moment the disaster occurred, offering steadfast leadership and vital support to ensure our operations could keep moving forward. We are equally grateful to the United Way of North Talladega County and the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama, whose immediate guidance, resources, and relief efforts helped keep food flowing to local families when everything else was thrown into uncertainty.
And today, we are thrilled to share another massive step forward in our recovery: Team Honda has generously donated $25,000 to the Lincoln Food Pantry to help us continue our mission and rebuild stronger than ever!
Honda’s remarkable generosity and ongoing partnership demonstrate a deep commitment to our region when we need it most. Fulfilling our mission requires strong partners, and Honda’s belief in our work gives us the momentum we need as we look toward the future.
To every organization that stepped up, to every volunteer who has loaded a trunk, and to every neighbor who sent a donation or a prayer, thank you! A fire destroyed our building, but your unity proved that the Lincoln Food Pantry was never just a physical structure. It is the heart and compassion of a community that takes care of its own.
We are still here, we are still serving, and together, our best days are ahead. 🤝💙
