Highest Level of Engagement! Great job Jen you are our healthcare hero of the week. Thanks for all you do and for bringing your residents out for a little outdoor recreational therapy on the water. Sorry about that little prank the boys pulled off by setting the drag so light the kite did not come in for you. Great day of catfishing. Special shout out to Wes and Debbie for making this happen today. Live Well Go Fish. The Lexington Assisted Living Center

The laughter and smiles shined today on the water.
Special Thank You to Arely, Jenny & Nicole of Brookstone in David City. Healthcare professionals engaged with their residents with the highest level of care.
Tell all the fish stories you want but you can't fake a laugh or a sincere smile. This level of focus allows our volunteers to do their jobs and we thank you!
Nice job ladies.

Special Shout Out to volunteer boat captains Tom Lanz and Wes Sheets for your attempts to pranking the country gals on Bullhead Tuesday last week. Seriously boys.....Cane pole trick, putting sharpie dots on channel cat to help the Nebraska Game and Parks keep track of how many we catch while singing in the rain. If they didn't have those hats on ponchos on they would see right thru your little jokes. Nice job boys.......Thanks for all you do. Live Well Go Fish!

A Tribute to Larry
Rest in Peace our friend. June 16 1934 - July 6th 2026

I speak for all the volunteers that had the honor to fish with you over the years with us. Thank you for your service in the Air Force and the 210 combat missions with the "Young Tigers" KC-135 refueling squadron as a navigator in the Vietnam era. Your smile went on forever and laughter will be missed on the boat. It was a honor having your giant walleye break our net, and watching you reel in the first fish caught on a power drill with us. Thanks for teaching Alan (AKA Mr. Bluegill) how to catch largemouth bass back in 2018 and navigating through the bullheads and channel cat after the lake flooded. You loved to fish, and we loved having you on board so we could learn from the best. We knew you as the Legend from the Legacy Retirement Communities. You will be missed. Rest in Peace Larry.

Spring Rolls on a hot summer day. Pretty cool when generations from around the world get to share history, culture, music and food learning from each other on a little place called Pork Chop Island. Girls it was a honor teaching you how to fish, boat safety, lake history and about outdoor wildlife on lake Wanahoo. It was even more of a honor learning from you all. Very polite, focused, engaged in learning and simply one of the most amazing groups we have had on the water. Special Thank you to their teachers from Omaha, Live Well Go Fish Volunteers Merna & Carla, the Lower Platte North NRD and Nebraska Game and Parks Commission for sharing the educational material for this workshop. 19 fish for the girls. You caught your first fish and I had my first spring roll with Aroy-D sauce. Amazing day on the water. Thank You!

Captain Ken.....Judging by the look on your face you do not have the worlds best fishing report this week.....Correct? Let me guess.....Kar-a-croak-e day?
