This week, our Circle of Parents groups in both Lillington and Erwin welcomed representatives from Children's Home Society of North Carolina.

They shared information about foster care, the mission of their organization, and ways individuals and families can help support children in need. Parents and caregivers enjoyed learning more about the fostering process and the resources available to families in our community.

Thank you to our guest speakers for taking the time to visit both groups and for the important work you do to strengthen and support children and families across North Carolina. 💙

Thank you, Harnett County Public Library for inviting HCPC to partner with you once again for the Summer Reading Kickoff held this past Saturday at the Lillington branch! 📚☀️

For several years, HCPC has enjoyed hosting the "Cool Down Room" during this wonderful community event. It’s always rewarding to create a space where children and families can escape the heat, recharge, and enjoy fun, hands-on activities together before heading back out to enjoy all the excitement of the day.

HCPC had a dino-mite time at the Anderson Creek Public Library HCPL Summer Reading Kickoff! 📚🦖 Our Grow on the Go Playmobile joined the prehistoric fun as families gathered to celebrate the start of summer reading. Children explored and played, while parents/caregivers learned about the exciting adventures that HCPC offers families with young children! Thank you to the Anderson Creek Public Library for inviting us to be part of this fun-filled event.

Summer Reminder: Reading helps young minds grow, so keep reading through the summer months and beyond!

A big thank you to Mrs. Jackie Seawell and Mrs. Ruby Neal for stopping by HCPC with a wonderful donation of toys for local children and families!

Mrs. Seawell, who volunteers with the Mabopane Kids Foundation, will be making regular toy donations to help support Harnett County families through HCPC programs. We are incredibly grateful for her generosity and ongoing commitment to serving our community.

Many Harnett County residents know Mrs. Seawell and Mrs. Neal as beloved former foreign language teachers from Harnett Central High School. Their dedication to making a positive impact continues to be felt throughout our community! ❤

Meet Our 2026 Summer Intern! ✨
Please join us in welcoming Jordan Forbis to the Harnett County Partnership for Children team this summer! We're excited to have Jordan helping us plant the seeds for learning, exploration, and healthy habits this summer. 🌻🥕🍅

Jordan is serving as a Farm to Early Care and Education Intern through NC State, where she will be helping home-based child care programs across Harnett County establish and grow educational gardens. From researching planting schedules to creating hands-on learning materials, Jordan will be supporting early educators as they cultivate fun, engaging garden experiences for young children.
