We’d like to send a huge thank you to two amazing veterinary partners for making a big transport possible 🎉🥳

First, thank you to Jarrettsville Vet Center. for opening your doors to several KAT kitties and helping them find amazing homes. Most have already been adopted, and we couldn’t be happier seeing them finally get the happy endings they deserve!

And a huge thank you to Veterinarians to the Rescue , who connected us with Jarrettsville Vet Center and helped make this whole opportunity possible. We’re incredibly grateful for their continued support, guidance, and willingness to help KAT animals in need.

Rescue takes a village, and partnerships like these make a huge difference. We’re so thankful to have veterinary teams willing to work alongside us to give more cats a chance at the life they deserve. 💞

We love a happy adoption update! 🎉

"Essie is doing wonderful! We have renamed her Pearl. She adjusted almost immediately to our new home. I have had kittens before, but she is without a doubt the most energetic kitten I’ve ever met. She loves her toys and playing with our her brother and sister, Steven and Garnet.

She’s also very sweet. If she’s sleeping somewhere and I enter the room, she immediately starts purring. Her favorite napping spot is my craft box haha. We just adore her. I have so many pictures and videos."

We're so happy Pearl is settling into her new home so beautifully! Congratulations to Pearl and her awesome new family.

Sassafras and Sprite have become the cutest little besties! 🐾

Meet River!

River is a handsome little guy who is still figuring out that the world isn't such a scary place. While people are still a bit intimidating to him, he's making steady progress and grows a little more confident every day. He simply needs an adopter who understands that trust takes time and is willing to celebrate the small victories along the way.

Other cats are River's comfort zone, and having a confident feline friend nearby helps him feel much more secure. He would do wonderfully with a social resident cat or as part of a pair through our Best Friend Bonus program, where a feline companion can help him continue learning that new experiences aren't so frightening. He may also adapt well to a calm, respectful dog given slow introductions and lots of patience.

River would do best in a peaceful home with adults or older teenagers who understand that shy cats need space to adjust. Young children would be too overwhelming for him at this stage. If you're looking for a rewarding journey and have the patience to let a timid kitten bloom into a confident companion, River is ready to take that journey with you.

Meet Isla!

This sweet girl is a little shy and still learning that people can be trusted, but she has a soft heart underneath that cautious exterior. Isla can be scared when she first meets new people or enters a new environment, so she’ll need a patient adopter who understands that building trust takes time. Luckily, Churu is the way to her heart! With a tasty treat, a calm approach, and plenty of patience, Isla slowly comes out of her shell and shows you the sweet girl she really is.

Isla would prefer to be the only cat in her home so she can have all the attention and space she needs to settle in at her own pace. She may be able to adjust to a cat-friendly dog with slow, proper introductions, but a calm environment would be ideal for her. Isla is looking for someone who will celebrate the little victories and give her the time she needs to blossom. If you're willing to let her set the pace, Isla will reward you with the sweetest moments as she learns that she is finally home.

If you’re willing to be patient, keep the Churus coming, and give Isla the time she needs, you’ll have the incredibly rewarding experience of watching a shy kitten discover her confidence and earning the love of a girl who has worked so hard to find it.
