Lexington Rotary Club was chartered in October 1936. We meet every Tuesday at noon at First Baptist Church. Come join us!

The club consists of business leaders and individuals in our community that are dedicated to "Service Above Self".

Registration is open!!! Our Multigun Competition is just around the corner on October 24th! We are encouraging pre-registration by our competitors this year. Prizes from Silencer Central, MDT Sporting Goods, Burris, Savior Equipment, Vortex, Mantis, Denver Air, H3d Tactical, Meg-Gar, Lowa, Cole-Tac, Brass Goat, Range Store, Stealth Innovative, and others!! The table has grown even since the picture in the post!

On October 13, 2026, Karissa White presented a program on the STEM program for the Henderson County School District. She spoke on the program and stressed developing a work ethic, as well as learning to think outside the box. She concluded her remarks with a tour of the STEM trailer, which rotates around 7 schools. It features four sections: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Today it also had a snake and a lizard as added passengers.

On October 6, 2026, Tennessee Commissioner of Agriculture, Andy Holt (second from left) met the Lexington High School FFA and spoke about agriculture in Tennessee. Following this he spoke at the Lexington Rotary Club’s weekly meeting. Club President Penny Hensley (far left) welcomed the commissioner. On September 29, 2026, President Penny Hensley welcomed Director Steve Deaton to speak on the work of the Emergency Management Administration (EMA) of Henderson County. Using Winter Storm Fern as an example, he spoke on the importance of weather preparedness. He shared the most important resource needed is people. He also shared the need for personal information to
be available for emergency workers.

On September 22, 2026, President Penny Hensley welcomed Brandon David (Deputy Director) and Kyle Barron (Executive Director) to speak from the Jackson Regional Airport. Brandon spoke on items of interest through the years bringing the airport to its present status. Kyle spoke on the regional aspect leading to it being the sixth largest airport in Tennessee. He shared statistics showing the growing impact in the area.

On September 15, 2026, President Penny Hensley welcomed Principal William Forney and Counselor Brandy Eason to speak about the Henderson County Virtual School. This is a separate school within the school system offering a free public education for grades 6th-12th. Graduates finish with a true Tennessee High School Diploma. It meets the need for a home based education meeting a variety of needs including mental health issues, medical needs, domestic issues, disciplinary situations, and other needs.

On September 8, 2026, Scott Williams (President and CEO of Discovery Park, Union City) was welcomed by President Penny Hensley. He shared some of the history of the origin and development of Discovery Park. Antidotes about founder Robert Kirkland were shared. He spoke about the current economic impact of the park. In conclusion upcoming events were shared.
