Whitewater rafting pictures from June’s Letchworth Trip!

They also had to learn how to throw ropes to help save others! They did two trips on the gorge - day 1, they went in rafts, day two in inflatable kayaks!

Better late than never to post!

In late June, a bunch of scouts went to Letchworth State Park in NY and worked with Adventure Calls Outfitters to work through the kayaking, canoeing and Whitewater rafting Merit Badges!

They also were able to do some service projects at the campground where they stayed! They helped move and stack some trees/limbs that had fallen during a recent storm and also clean and help place the picnic tables at sites at the campground!

Also a small contingent of younger scouts went along and worked on some cooking for rank advancement and also enjoyed a 5mile 1,000 foot elevation hike in Letchworth State Park! (And of course did some fishing! What’s a camping trip without fishing?? 🎣)
