⭐️ What’s New and Good for Milton Getting Ahead? 🌟

Last week, we talked about the causes of poverty and the decline of the middle class and how it affects our communities and schools.
🤔 The U.S. middle class has shrunk from 61% in 1971 to less than 50% today. Persistent inflation and rising housing and health care costs contribute to financial anxiety for many of us. 😦

🌟🌟 A big thank you to **Milton OIP** for a great pasta meal! 🥘 And please remember to support our hometown small businesses! ❤️

😃 Let’s hear it for our community of caring here in the Susquehanna Valley!

⭐️ We are above grateful to our partner, Summit Early Learning, Inc. for conducting a very successful kids book drive.📕 Our Getting Ahead kids can now build a home library.

This helps:
⭐️ build strong reading habits, ⭐️improve vocabulary skills, and
⭐️ success in school and life.

AND…. Our friends at Amazon donated 100 backpacks 🎒 for our kids to carry their books home each week 📚

Another example of when Thriving Communities support each other and work together - we ALL live better ‼️👏👏👏
