DAY CENTER RELOCATION

Effective September 30, 2026
299-17TH STREET - NEIL GOOD DAY CENTER LOCATION HAS CHANGED

Father Joe’s Villages (FJV) will continue to provide Day Center services
at its East Village Campus (1501 Imperial Ave., San Diego, CA 92101).
The new site will be open and available on October 1, 2026. Entrance to
the Day Center can be accessed from Commercial Street & 15th Street.
There is no access to the site from Imperial Avenue.

Additional changes to program operations include:
• Hours of Operations
7:00 A.M. – 3 P.M., 7 days a week

• Mail Services

Effective October 1, 2026, please use the new mailing address: 1501
Imperial Ave, San Diego, CA 92101

Please update your mailing address with friends, families, banks,
medical clinics, Social Security Administration and other important
sources of frequent mail communications.

Mail sent to 299 17th St. will be forwarded to the address listed
above for a two-month period.

The new location at FJV’s East Village Campus is not able to accept
packages. Packages will not be accepted at the current site after
September 15, 2026.

Referrals to Shelter and Community Resources
Case Management
Showers
Laundry
Bathrooms
Mail
Indoor Respite Space
Television

• New Program Rules:

You may only bring one backpack.
No additional belongings can be stored onsite.

As Founder & Executive Director of GLM House Inc., it was a profound experience speaking with the many levels of staff at Hope Through Housing Foundation's Supportive Housing Boot Camp, from care teams and resident service coordinators to property managers and leadership. What stood out to me was the importance of meeting tenants where they are while still thinking outside the box during difficult and uncomfortable situations. Supporting someone in finding their voice, recognizing their worth, and taking ownership of their choices requires patience, skill, and a great deal of emotional energy.

That is why these Boot Camps matter.💪💪

They give staff practical tools for navigating complex conversations, protecting their own well-being, and preventing burnout. They also deepen trauma awareness and remind employees that their organization truly has their back while they do this challenging work.💜When staff feel supported, they are better equipped to help tenants recognize the value already within themselves.

I am grateful for the opportunity to share my lived and operational experience and even more grateful to know that something I said helped open minds and hearts.

Luke 22:31–32 reminds us that even when we are shaken, our faith does not have to fail.

In the times we are living in, GLM House Inc. is going through its own season of sifting of the wheat. Programs may shift. Volunteers and team members may move into different roles or seasons. Decisions may be difficult, and they may disappoint or hurt people.

But I believe the Lord built , and I have to stand firm in that faith. As Founder it is my responsibility to keep GLM rooted in its mission, guided by moral values, and operating with integrity even when making the right decision is hard.

Sifting is not about devaluing people. It is a time to examine what is helping the mission grow, make needed changes with care, and stay faithful to the work God has placed before us. 💜
