🎬 The Celebration of Life will be followed by a screening of MAJOR! This powerful documentary follows the life and campaigns of Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, a trailblazing Black trans activist who paved the way for generations of transgender women of color. Whose World, Whose Home: Uncovering SD's Q***r Black Futures and Histories -
Attend this event on July 10th at 6:30 PM for an evening exploring Black Q***r San Diego history!
Community Historian in Residence Dr. TJ Tallie has spent the past year uncovering powerful stories of Black Q***r San Diegans from 1988-2002. His archival research examines how the community navigated and transformed the city during decades of profound change, drawing from activist papers, community newspapers, and firsthand accounts to highlight Black q***r voices in local LGBTQ+ history.
🎤 Featured panelists: Dr. TJ Tallie, Rayyon Robinson, Miki Vale, Jordan Daniels, Joshua Dunn, and Amber St. James.
Special guest Phyllis Jackson will perform selected readings from Marti Mackey’s writings.

đź’ś Join us on June 24 at 9am to urge the San Diego County Board of Supervisors to vote to pass the revised budget that includes funding for LGBTQIA-affirming housing!

On June 13, San Diego County publicized the revised recommended budget for fiscal year 2025-2026, reflecting feedback from the public and Board of Supervisors. An allocation of $800,000 to support LGBTQIA-affirming housing services was included. Help us ensure this allocation remains in the final budget!

🏳️‍⚧️ Join us on Monday, June 23, to come together in community and hear about the Supreme Court’s U.S. vs. Skrmetti decision, how it affects our transgender and nonbinary youth, and where we go from here. This is an opportunity to connect with your LGBTQ+ community members as we navigate these uncertain times.

📆 Two separate events will be hosted on Monday, June 23, from 6-7pm—one at The San Diego LGBT Community Center and one at the North County LGBTQ Resource Center.

🌸 Join us for a screening of “There Are Things To Do,” an award-winning documentary that captures the essence of Urvashi Vaid’s activism and impact, on May 21 at 6pm at The Center.

As part of our API Heritage Month celebrations, this event will offer an opportunity to learn about Urvashi’s life and legacy at the intersection of the LGBTQ+ and API communities. After the screening, there will be a community discussion.
