Watching this mural go from a simple idea to the backdrop of a meaningful event has been so special.

If you missed Saturday's event celebrating America's 250th birthday, you missed a great speech by our very own Frank Little, who dedicated the mural and told us about these hometown heroes:
❤️ Alford Lee McLaughlin was a United States Marine Corps master sergeant who received the Medal of Honor for his actions during the Korean War.
🤍 William Robert Lawley Jr. was a pilot in the Air Force who received the Medal of Honor for saving the lives of his crew during World War II.
💙 Henry "Red" Erwin, a radio operator in the Army Air Forces during World War II, received the Medal of Honor for saving his plane and crew from a burning phosphorus smoke bomb.
These three men are remembered in the City of Valor for extraordinary bravery, selflessness, and devotion to others.

Thank you so much, Leeds. 💚 We are absolutely blown away and so honored that you voted for Leeds Main Street as the Leeds Living 2026 Best Local Cause and for Mistletoe on Main for Best Festival!

The work we are doing in downtown Leeds is all about making it a better place for the community we love so much. This means hosting engaging, meaningful events to bring people downtown, helping our small businesses flourish and thrive, and making our downtown a more beautiful and vibrant place to visit.

We can't do what we do without you, our amazing community of Leeds. When you volunteer, donate, sponsor, or attend an event, you are making a difference and making what we do worth it. Thank you for coming alongside us as we do the work to make downtown Leeds the best place to live, shop, and visit. We're just getting started, and we are incredibly grateful to each of you for your belief in what we aim to accomplish!

Phase 2 of the sidewalk project has begun! Don’t forget, it’s more important than ever to be supporting our small businesses downtown while this project continues!

🚧 Sidewalk Project Update – Phase 2 Begins! 🚧

Progress continues on our Downtown Revitalization Project as construction begins on the second section of new sidewalks along Parkway Drive. This phase is another step toward creating a safer, more walkable, and more connected downtown for residents and visitors alike. The overall project includes upgraded sidewalks, lighting, and streetscape improvements designed to enhance both accessibility and the downtown experience.

We appreciate your patience during construction and look forward to seeing another section of this transformational project take shape. Stay tuned for more updates as work progresses!

Today, we are launching the Growing Local Downtown Leeds Microgrant Program! 📣 Eligible businesses can apply for up to $5,000 to support small business growth and visible downtown improvements in the Leeds Main Street district. Our organization exists to make downtown Leeds a better place, and that starts with helping our small businesses thrive.

Potential uses for grant funds include but are not limited to equipment upgrades, storefront improvements, technology purchases, inventory, accessibility upgrades, marketing, or training.
