We get asked, what does a day look like at the Chamber? Here's an odd one. We started with a Women in Business Committee meeting. Moved onto the Farm City Committee selling 420 Bell & Evans Chicken Barbecue meals as a fundraiser for our agriculture scholarships. Hosted Cultivate Lancaster for a partnership meeting. And ended the day with a presentation by Quest Voyager on our fall 2027 trip to Croatia.

🚗🌧️ RAIN, RAIN GO AWAY! Unfortunately, Sunday’s Car & Motorcycle Show will have to wait for another day.

With rain in the forecast, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the CLA Car & Motorcycle Show scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, August 16.

We know our car and motorcycle enthusiasts put a lot of time and care into their vehicles—and rainy weather just isn’t the kind of show day we were hoping for!

The good news: We ARE working to reschedule! 🎉

Our committee is currently coordinating with The Wing Nutz, our vendors, and event partners to find a new date. We’ll announce the rescheduled date as soon as everything is confirmed.

Congratulations to the Lebanon Valley Exposition Center & Fairgrounds on an inspiring groundbreaking on their new exposition hall and connector project. The Expo has incredible support from so many community organizations and leaders - including a one million dollar commitment from the Sechler family Bell & Evans. Additionally, WellSpan Health is sponsoring the connector hallway. Additional support from the Dixon Foundation, Bishop Foundation, Wenger Foundation, Chrisland Engineering, Steckbeck Engineering & Surveying, Inc. Ending the workweek with an fun mixer with Gretna Music at the Hall of Philosophy in Mount Gretna. Irish dance and music to start mixed with networking and then a wonderful show at the Mount Gretna Playhouse to see Eileen Ivers and the Brigadeens. Thank you for hosting our members! If you haven't been to Mount Gretna for a while, you are missing out! Next week is the famous Mount Gretna Outdoor Art Show! And don't forget the delicious meals at Porch & Pantry and The Gretna Timbers.

The Hostetter Farm in East Hanover Township, founded by Leroy Hostetter in 1926, was recently recognized as a Century Farm.

It was a great day to cut the ribbon at Evolve Salon of Hershey . This salon is so much more offering Victoria’s Enchanted Experiences—immersive princess, fairy, and themed celebrations as well as sensory-friendly salon services - a more comfortable and accommodating experience for individuals with autism, sensory sensitivities, and other unique needs. Thanks to The Hershey Partnership - Hershey PA Chamber of Commerce for helping us celebrate this great new beginning.

🍳 Breakfast at the Fair 🍳

This past Tuesday, we held our Annual Breakfast at the Fair during the Lebanon Area Fair!

Attendees enjoyed a complimentary breakfast, which included an omelet station run by our Fam-City Committee. The breakfast was headlined by keynote speaker David Wolfgang, who spoke about the importance of preserving farmland while also growing the economy.

During the breakfast, we were honored to present a Century Farm Award to the Hostetter Family! The Hostetter Family has been operating their farm since April 1926. This is an incredible feat of dedication, hard work, and resilience. Congratulations! 🎉
