Team Lebanon County Special Olympics exists because of our dedicated volunteers and all of our generous donors. Today, our organization was able to pay it forward to the community because of a local business donation to our Funck’s gift card fundraiser. Nathan Hartman of Hartman Home Improvements, LLC chose to forego his generous donation of the gift cards he purchased in order to help others in need but still benefit our organization. He trusted our Team to find the appropriate recipients. A huge thank you to our long-term volunteer coach, Wanette Balchunas, for her assistance with choosing The Caring Cupboard. We agreed that this was a great fit. Today was the day that Pete met Dave and handed over the gift cards. Our hearts our filled with gratitude and thanks. 😊

You all know who this incredible person is, right?

Officially, SHANNON PECHART is 1 of 2 sports directors in our region. But did you know that unofficially, she does SO MUCH MORE, especially with our Executive Director and Development Director positions being vacant?

Somehow, she is not "just keeping everything together", she is doing an AMAZING job of seeing that the tasks of ALL 3 positions are getting done. She's been doing this for months!

AND, if that isn't enough, she VOLUNTARILY SIGNED UP to get up at the crack of dawn this Saturday to participate in the Highmark Walk to raise money for Special Olympics PA Capital Area Region!

The least we can do is reward our UNBELIEVABLY PASSIONATE and DRIVEN leader of the Capital Area Region for her steadfast committment to our athletes by donating to her campaign!

Have YOU signed up for SUMMER SPORTS yet? You must do so by May 15!

GOLF * KAYAKING * PICKLEBALL * SOFTBALL

Anyone age 8+ may sign up, except you must also know how to swim to sign up for kayaking.

NOTE: Team sports, such as softball, have age group requirements for traveling to team competitions. However, there is also an option to compete in individual skills for those who don’t/can’t compete on a team.

We are very thankful to be the recipient of a generous donation from the Hershey Free Church to benefit all of our sports programs in Lebanon County and grateful to a longstanding program volunteer, Jill Martin, for her diligence in applying for the annual grant for these funds.
