Congratulations to Mrs. Madilynn Grace on her recognition through Project Excellence! 🎉

Mrs. Grace is a first-grade teacher at Bowman Elementary and has been teaching for four years, including the past two years in Lebanon City Schools.

She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Cincinnati.

Madilynn shared that one of the most rewarding parts of teaching is watching students who begin the year struggling with reading leave feeling confident and truly enjoying it. She says witnessing that transformation is incredible.

Congratulations to Ms. Abby Jackson on her recognition through Project Excellence! 🎉

Ms. Jackson is a 6th grade math teacher at Columbia Intermediate and has spent all 7 years of her teaching career serving students in the Kings Local School District.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Middle Childhood Education with concentrations in Math and English Language Arts, along with a reading endorsement, from Wilmington College. She also holds a Master’s in Transformative Education from Miami University. Before becoming an educator, Abby attended the Aveda Institute and worked as a hairstylist.

When asked what she is most proud of, Abby shared that watching her son grow into the person he is becoming after overcoming difficult times fills her heart with joy and gratitude.

Congratulations to Steve France, recipient of the American Financial Corporation Award through Project Excellence!

Steve is a 7th grade mathematics teacher at Kings Junior High School with 34 years in education, including 27 years in the Kings Local School District.

A graduate of Wilmington College and Xavier University, Steve has now received this honor for the third time, previously earning the award in 2003 and 2014.

When asked what this recognition means to him, Steve shared:
“To be honest, winning this Project Excellence Award for a third time is so validating, for the work it takes every day to be an effective teacher.”
