Meet Sara!
Outgoing, generous, and always ready to make a new friend, Sara has found a true sense of community since moving into one of our senior apartment communities. Whether she’s making friendship bracelets for her neighbors, enjoying karaoke, or showing off one of her many hats, Sara has built a life surrounded by friendship and support, including with friends at the 741 Center.
After breaking her foot and struggling with the many steps in her previous home, Sara was connected with a more accessible apartment and services through the Elderly Services Program (ESP).
“I’ve made many new friends living here,” Sara shared. “Everything is right where I need it.”
With support including homemaking services, home safety modifications, and an emergency response system, Sara feels more confident living independently.
“I love the services,” she said. “Without these services, I would feel nervous; having them makes me feel secure.”
Sara also appreciates having her care manager, Marcie, nearby.
“Marcie is a phone call or text away whenever I need something,” Sara said.
ESP is funded by the Warren County senior services tax levy, which will be up for renewal this November. The renewal will not raise taxes, but will allow ESP to continue providing services that help Sara and more than 2,770 older adults remain independent through meals, housekeeping, personal care, transportation, and other support.
As Sara says, “We all have seniors in our lives, and we would love to have your vote for the levy.” ❤️
