Turtle Shelter Project

Turtle Shelter Project We create unity through service to save lives, provide warmth & show love to those experiencing homelessness. We are a traveling service project.

We are always looking for people who are willing to sew from home, host events, or join our event team to help manage them. We bring the project (including all materials and supplies to make vests for our unsheltered friends) to you wherever you are. You just provide the space and the helping hands. There is no group or event too big or too small and, we tailor every event to meet your needs and skill level. Message us for more details on how you can get involved.

We are humbled that Church News for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints came to share the story of the Turtle Shelter Projectβ€”and we are deeply grateful for the incredible church members and countless good people who have given their time and hearts to serve those in need.

The event featured in the article took place in the same ward where this effort began eight years ago. From those first few volunteers to the thousands who now help each year, this 100% volunteer initiative has produced more than 6,000 lifesaving heater vests for individuals experiencing homelessness.

But these vests are more than just warmthβ€”they are an expression of Christlike love for people who need to know they matter, that their lives have immeasurable value, and that they are never forgotten by God or by us. πŸ’›

We are so grateful for the love and support we have received from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the service of so many devoted members.

It is humbling to to see how much people care about helping our unsheltered loved ones know that they matter to God and their community.

Our vests are truly made with love by amazing volunteers! We are overwhelmed with gratitude.
A huge thank you to all of our volunteers.

I recently had the opportunity to be a guest at Live On Purpose Radio with Dr. Paul Jenkins, the Positivity Expert.

I wanted to share our discussion about helping the homeless through Turtle Shelter Project and the technology behind the vests we produce. Also, you will learn about the impact of channeling positivity and compassion in making meaningful changes in your own life and community.

You can listen here https://liveonpurposeradio.com/the-turtle-shelter-project-with-jen-spencer-episode-665/
Or find Live On Purpose Radio on Apple or your favorite podcast platform.

Thanks Dr. Paul Jenkins for having me on and helping us spread the word about helping our unsheltered loved ones.

We want to help spread the word about this donation drive event. Be a Little Too Kind is a non profit organization founded by my rockstar friend Jessica Lowe (aka Hope Dealer) she feeds a home cooked meal to our unsheltered friends in Salt lake every Thursday.

Her kindness cause is truly remarkable and so is she! They are collecting necessity items for our homies living on the street to help them feel loved and know that they matter.

If you can help it would be most appreciated. Every little bit helps.
