Meet Chiara from Italy who is looking for a host family.

I attend a high school specializing in languages. Other than “normal” subjects such as Math, Italian, History and so, I also study English, German and Russian. I really like this school because I’ve always liked languages, since I was in primary school. Russian is difficult so even if I’ve been studying it for two years and a half I’m not able to speak it well (telling you the truth, the situation is even worse than this). English and German are my favourite subjects, but I also like Math and History. My school is really demanding, but I like studying (quite strange, I know) and it’s not that difficult for me and I get almost always good marks. If I had to define my character I would say talkative and social. Sometimes I’m shy if I’m not at ease, but most of the time I don’t have any difficulty in speaking with people I don’t know, not only teenagers like me, but people in general.

Meet Klam from Thailand. Let's find him a home for his exchange year.
I live in a close-knit family where everybody is close and we discuss almost everything. When I am having a hard time, my family is always beside me. When my spirits are low, I always think of my family and realize how lucky I am. I help my mother doing some chores, such as cleaning the bathroom and mopping the floor. I really love gardening and I have lots of plant species at my house, such as Bromeliads, Cactus, Carnivorous Plant and Succulent plant. There are also big mango and rambutan trees in the backyard, so we have some organic fruits to eat. I also have a pet squirrel.
I love drawing and painting and I often do it in my free time

Meet Kathrin from Germany. She is looking for a great family to share her exchange experience with. She enjoys Basketball, Swimming, Skiing (Downhill), Playing Musical Instrument(s), Dance, Ballroom Dancing.
She says I'm fifteen years old (but I'll be sixteen when I start my year in the USA) and I live in Germany in a village with my family (my parents and two little sisters). In my free time I enjoy reading, writing, drawing and listening to music, but also meeting friends, playing the piano, climbing and go dancing (ballroom and latin dance), what I practice 4 times a week. Anyway I'd really like to try out new stuff when I'm spending time in the USA. At home I do little jobs like vacuuming, emptying the dishwasher and sometimes cooking. The relationship between my family and me is pretty good, but often I prefer spending time with my friends

If you know of someone who would like to host Kathrin please let me know.

Looking for more host families to join my PAX family next year.

Looking for host families to open their hearts and homes to a new volunteer experience that can enrich your life and the exchange students.
PAX is recruiting families for the 2017-18 school year. I'd be happy to help answer any questions you have an ease your fears. I'd be happy to provide references of current/past host family experiences.
A host family can be a couple, single parent, w/kids, w/o kids, grandparents, empty nester. Your children can be any range. All situations work.
We are looking for families in Utah and other parts of the United States. Host Families provide a home, family and three meals. Students have their own spending money and health insurance. They can share a room with a similar age, same gender sibling. You pick the student: age, gender, country, interests. It is great to gain a new family member for everyone to learn about another culture.

We are excited for the new applications for students coming August 2017. There are several countries available. Remember that Utah has a deadline of April 1st to have all the student information in that means for me everything needs to be done the middle of March.
If you are interested in hosting or you know someone who is interested in hosting an exchange student and want to make a wish for a student please let me know so that I can be watching for a good match for you. There are different coordinators in Utah so even if you are not close to me I can send you to another wonderful coordinator to help you. If you live outside of Utah and are interested please let me know because I can find the coordinators there as well. THANKS SO MUCH for giving students a chance of a life time.

Guess the country:

This territory is west of the Jordan River. It is slightly smaller than Delaware. Most of the people are Muslim and some are Jewish. The falafel is a popular food there. Soccer is the most popular sport in this country. One can visit the church of the nativity. They have wonderful olive trees that they produce great pieces of art from.
What territory is it?
