Meet Liam, a homeschool student from rural Kentucky who loves retro computers and technology! He's the newest recipient of a laptop computer from our donated computer refurbishment and recycling program!

His computer is part of a lot donated to us last year by EnvisionWare, Inc. Many thanks to them for providing us with these machines that we can put back into service to help students with and .

Some of the tech we receive through this program just needs a good cleaning and a software refresh. Many of the computers, though, need new batteries or hard drives, and some need more extensive TLC. Your support can help us acquire the parts needed to breathe life back into these machines! Those that are too old or slow to be a daily driver provide great opportunities for students to learn to diagnose and repair computers and other devices. Plus, we're doing our part to reduce !

We received an unexpected donation last week! 11 desktop computers as well as several laptops, mini laptops, and a few tablets. We're still evaluating the laptops, but the desktops are in great shape and will make a fantastic lab. All need hard drives, though, so if you have any (SATA for this batch) or want to donate funds to allow us to purchase some, please get in touch!

Support us this Giving Tuesday! We help provide STEM education opportunities to students in small or rural schools, homeschools, and low income or disadvantaged communities.

Through our network of service provider partners, we host workshops, seminars, and hands-on classes where students learn computer programming, electronics, 3D modeling, digital literacy, and other concepts from technology and engineering.

We also accept discarded computer equipment and repair, refurbish, and recycle it for student use. If the hardware is too old to be useful, we treat the process as a learning opportunity!

Meet Caleb. He lives in New Zealand and wants one day to become an engineer.

In conjunction with the Excalibur Solutions STEM Academy, we have provided Caleb with access to their online learning platform as well as an electronics kit so that he can continue learning about and exploring computer programming and electrical circuits!

We are super excited to have delivered our first refurbished computer! The recipient recently attended a workshop hosted by the Excalibur Solutions STEM Academy, but he wasn't able to continue with any of their because he lives in an area without access to broadband Internet.

His "new" computer, donated by EnvisionWare, Inc., is a Dell Latitude laptop running Windows 11 and pre-loaded with a number applications to allow him to explore software development and digital media creation. The Excalibur Solutions STEM Academy also donated the complete video series for several of their courses and set them up as playlists on the computer itself so this student can work through them while offline.

We want to thank EnvisionWare, Inc. for the generous of some of their retired computer equipment! We received 23 laptop computers, 10 docking stations, over 30 Samsung Galaxy tablets, plus some Ethernet hubs and switches, keyboards, and mice. This equipment will be repurposed for student use as computer labs, either in schools or as part of future summer camps.

Welcome to DART STEM Services™!

We expand STEM education opportunities for all students regardless of where or how they go to school. Some of our services include:

* Providing funding to schools to purchase STEM education instruction, supplies, and other resources, particularly in the areas of Technology and Engineering

* Hosting summer camps and weekend workshops where students can see and do STEM projects and activities

* Repairing, refurbishing, and recycling computer equipment to use as computer labs and student laptops

(We have applied for but have not yet received 501c3 status.)
