Ste 7. Humbly ask him.

Step 7 is where surrender becomes action.

We humbly ask Him to remove our shortcomings.

This step reminds us that real change doesn't come from trying harder. It comes from trusting God more. We cant remove our own shortcomings through will power alone. But we can humbly place them in God's hands and allow Him to transform us from the inside out.

Humility isn't weakness it's having the courage to admit we need God helps and believing He is faithful to do the work in us.

What us one shortcomings your asking God to help you surrender today?

Please join us this Wednesday 08/26/2026 to hear our Celebrate Recovery Leader Michaela
give her testimony

“Before I knew Christ I felt unwanted, unloved, and alone. I had an emptiness inside of me that I spent many years trying to fill the void.

People, places, or things couldnt fix it. I couldn't fix it so I thought numbing it would help.

I started abusing Drugs in my early teens. I had moments of Sobriety through out the years but I would always fall back into my old ways.

The grief was overwhelming and my addiction got worse. I was on the verge of losing everything but by the grace of God I Have been given another chance at Life.

Jesus has changed my life Forever when I accepted him as my personal Savior. The chains binding my soul into darkness has been cut. I no longer live in Fear, nor do I have to bear the shame and guilt of my past.

God has transformed my Family, My friendships and my life. He has given me a greater sense of purpose and a new found Family in Christ. In romans 8:31 it says " If God is for us, who can be against us" what is greater than that!”

Please join us this Wednesday 08/05/2026 to hear Michaela give this weeks lesson 16, Amends.

This is a very important step in our recovery. So far we have had more of an inward focus, now we’re going to start looking at others. Specifically, the importance of making AMENDS for what we did to others. We were working on a personal side now we’re going to start working on our relational side. this is an important step, because we need to reach a point in our development where we can actually look at ourselves and what WE DID (if anything,) even in the most painful situations in order to continue our growth.

We open the doors at 6:00 pm for food and fellowship, we start our meeting promptly at 6:30 pm and we go until 8:00.

At the New Beginnings Peer Recovery Center 487 Essex st. Lawrence MA. Call Richard at 978-376-6848 for more information (or if you get lost)

Please join us this Wednesday 07/30/2026 to hear the testimony from our previous Celebrate Recovery leader Amy.

I will talk about how my secrets and not expressing my emotions in childhood led to depression, anxiety, and codependency. I didn’t get help when I should have, and instead medicated myself with alcohol, food, and shopping.

Since getting help from a doctor, CR, and most importantly God, I’m now a and a singer for the church worship team, a Preschool teacher at Little Scholars Daycare, and an all around better version of myself.

We open the doors at 6:00 pm for food and fellowship, we start our meeting promptly at 6:30 pm and we go until 8:00.

At the New Beginnings Peer Recovery Center 487 Essex st. Lawrence MA.

🎉 What an awesome time celebrating the July birthdays of three of our unhoused guests! 🎂❤️

Sometimes the greatest gift isn't just a birthday cake—it's being seen, loved, and reminded that your life matters. We are grateful to celebrate these special moments together and bring hope, joy, and dignity to those we serve.

A special thank you to the amazing staff at House of Mercy for joining us in celebrating and helping make our guests feel so loved by wishing them a happy birthday. Your kindness and compassion made the day even more special.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this mission through your prayers, generosity, and service. Together, we are sharing the love of God one person at a time.
