After moving into a new apartment in Lowell, Fernando and his wife were devastated to learn they might not be able to keep their puppy, Betty, because she wasn’t up to date on her shots.

Thanks to the Power of Pets program, Betty received the vaccinations she needed and is headed home with her family.

Stories like Fernando and Betty’s show just how powerful it is to help older adults care for and stay connected to their beloved pets.

Join us on Wednesday, September 23rd at BareWolf Brewing in Amesbury, MA for our Power of Pets event as we celebrate the incredible impact of this program and the pets and people it supports.

Beauty, a mother's love, and memories of childhood.

Those were just a few of the feelings expressed during an Art Therapy session for older adults living with dementia and their caregivers.

This volunteer-led session, held at the Tewksbury Senior Center, was made possible by a grant from Community Care Corps through our Family Caregiver Support Program.
