We have quite the evening planned for you on June 25!

🎶 Starting at 4pm, Lawrence Busker Festival is hosting a fun Score Lawrence street party outside Lawrence Arts Center with music by Lawrence Music Alliance .

🎥 At 6pm, we’ll enjoy a screening of The Sacred Red Rock & the short film Healing Red Ribbons: One Stitch At a Time preceded by a fashion show!

8:30pm The beautiful experimental film Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait screens in the gallery

⚽️ 9pm The USA vs. Türkiye soccer game will screen for free in the theatre.

One week from today, The Battle of Algiers screens on Tuesday, June 23 at Lawrence Arts Center preceded by a performance of The Algerian National Anthem from The New Horizons band and followed by a panel discussion.

And, all week long of the fest, be sure to swing by the storefront window of 836 Mass St. to see a new video installation by Misti Boland & Jeremy Osbern celebrating the art of soccer, "One, Two, Three, Vive L'Algerie!"

The countdown is ON! We are just one week from the best week in Lawrence... Free State Festival 'kicks off' on June 22 with a special ONE NIGHT ONLY screening of Malek Bensmail's The Arab at 6:30pm at Liberty Hall. From there, we'll head down to The Granada Theater watch party for the Algeria v. Jordan game at 10pm. 1,2,3 Vive L'Algerie!

🎬 The Arab (2026) screens on June 22 @6:30pm at Liberty Hall. After the film, join us in heading down to The Granada Theater for the watch party for the 10pm Algeria vs. Jordan game!
