Good News Monday…Recently we have had several requests for car repairs. When a car breaks down, and you’re barely scraping by, the expense can be disastrous.

This past month we have repaired cars for 2 clients that live in their cars, and several clients who drive for a food delivery company. For these drivers a car issue can send the family reeling.

We are so fortunate to be able to say yes to replace tires, brakes, batteries and other repairs and get these clients back to their homes and work. We are careful to examine the estimates and ensure the vehicles will be road worthy after the work is done. Believe me, it’s hard when we have to say no!

Good News Monday……Y’all have been so, so very generous with all the donations for the Giving Garage. We needed towels - boy did we get towels. We needed pots and pans - whew, we are stocked! We are, in fact, stocked to the max with all things! Thanks to everyone who donated and supported. This will help so many in our community who are getting a fresh start.

Now, having said that, there are 3 items that we will never turn down:
Twin sheet sets
Hand held can openers
Toasters (not toaster ovens. we have plenty)

If you want to donate any of those 3 items, please let us know.

Good News Monday….One of our Board members, Linda, also volunteers at another non-profit agency. During her work there, another volunteer mentioned a concern about an elderly client who was having trouble getting enough to eat. Her meager income just wasn’t stretching far enough.

Linda suggested the agency put a request into One Hundred Good Women, for a food gift card. We were happily able to help out with that, and arranged for a grocery card.

But the story doesn’t end there! The next time Linda went in for her shift, one of the managers at the non-profit told Linda how moving it was, that we could help, and handed her a donation for $500 to One Hundred Good Women!❤️

How about that! ❤️

One of the many things that made last night’s benefit concert with The Penguins so special is the raffle prizes we had to offer. Many thanks forTrivedi W**e for their donation of a bottle of w**e, glasses and a w**e opener and One Hundred Good Women for the W**e Basket prize. 1313 Mockingbird Lane, Silas and Maddy's Ice Cream and One Hundred Good Women made a fun Kiddo Basket. And, of course sooooo many tried to win but Lana Grove and Donna Black were the big winners! What an incredible evening it was.

Good times at Trivedi W**e at the One Hundred Good Women fundraiser! The night is beautiful and we love seeing so many supporters of our event.

The weather looks great for Thursday. And One Hundred Good Women is a fantastic and worthy local non-profit. Come out and help us raise some money and enjoy a beautiful night at Trivedi W**e! And yes, we'll be playing our favorite classic rock tunes from 6-8.

Good News Monday….This week we were busy providing gift cards for groceries. There have been some changes that have caused government SNAP benefits to be delayed, so the requests for food assistance have been abundant.

One request really stood out. A young man started a new job at a local non-profit, and it was noticed that his lunch was not adequate to sustain him. So the agency referred him to us, so that we could provide a grocery card. With proper nourishment, he will do better all the way around.

These are the kind of things that we do, with our fundraiser proceeds and your donations. Thanks for all you do!❤️

We’re excited to join One Hundred Good Women at Trivedi W**e on Thursday, September 24 from 5:30–8:00 pm!

We’ll be donating 20% of our gelato and sorbetto sales to support this great organization. ❤️

Grab a scoop (or two!), enjoy classic rock from The Penguins , and finish it off with a glass of Trivedi W**e!

Today we have a request for an 85 year old lady whose apartment has become infested with bedbugs! We can store items until the apartment is ready to inhabit.
