Today, New Jersey celebrates the inauguration of Governor Mikie Sherrill, becoming the second female governor in state history. The future looks bright and the youth of NJ are engaged!

60 years ago, mighty men and women dedicated their lives to the passage of the Voting Rights Act.

12 years ago, Shelby County v. Holder tore the heart out of that law and led to a thunderstorm of voting rights assaults across the country.
But there is a way forward.

We have power at the state level and we must use it to protect all of New Jersey’s voters.

We must act now to protect our democracy. New Jersey’s legislature must adopt its own state voting rights act.
