Two awards from the Haddonfield Rotary Foundation at work here: At $4,000 grant just announced for the UrbanPromise Boatworks program, which launched the 2026 fleet of student-built boats. And steering from the stern is Pablo Chavez, recipient of a Rotary Foundation scholarship this Spring.

Baseball players from Haddonfield Little League, Haddonfield NJ were guests of the Rotary Club of Haddonfield meeting this week, celebrating 76 years that the Rotary Club has sponsored the Little League. The guest speaker was former Philadelphia Phillies player and coach Milt Thompson. Milt was an outfielder and pinch hitter who also played for the Atlanta Braves, St. Louis Cardinals, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers and the Colorado Rockies. He gave the Little Leaguers batting and pitching tips and shared stories from his long career as a professional player.
