Passing along the Lancaster Holiday Excursion in case you're interested in joining us. You can buy your tickets at https://primalacomunita.org/events/lancaster-train-trip. Price is based on the number of guests in one room.

I've updated the train schedule and finalized a bigger and better itinerary in Lancaster that I'm sure you will be excited about. Amtrak added a second train between Pittsburgh and New York City which slightly changed our departure and arrival times.
Your updated itinerary:

You're now scheduled to depart on train #42, the Pennsylvanian, from Latrobe Train Station, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, December 1st at 8:01am and arrive in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, December 1st at 1:21pm.

You're now scheduled to depart on train #45, the Pennsylvanian, from Lancaster, Pennsylvania on Thursday, December 3rd at 3:38pm and arrive in Latrobe Train Station, Pennsylvania on Thursday, December 3rd at 8:44pm.

Tuesday, December 1
1:20 PM Amtrak arrives at Lancaster Station
2:30 PM Depart the station by Melard Coach Lines
3:00 PM Kitchen Kettle Village
4:30 PM Depart for the Hershey Farm hotel
5:00 PM Hotel check-in (baggage delivered to your rooms)
5:45 PM Depart for the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre
6:30 PM Buffet dinner
7:30 PM “Holly Jolly Holiday” performance begins
9:30 PM Performance ends, back to the hotel by about 10:30 PM

8:00 AM Breakfast smorgasbord at the hotel restaurant
9:30 AM Depart the hotel
9:45 AM Pennsylvania Railroad Museum, Strasburg
11:15 AM Jake’s Trading Post, Strasburg
12:30 PM Lunch at Agape Restaurant, Ronks
3:00 PM American Music Theatre “Winter Wonderland” (leave the restaurant at 2:00 PM)
5:00 PM Show concludes
6:30 PM Dinner smorgasbord at the Hershey Farm restaurant
Thursday, December 3
8:00 AM Breakfast smorgasbord
9:00 AM Luggage retrieved from your hotel room
9:30 AM Depart the hotel for the Mennonite Center
10:00 AM Biblical experience with the Mennonites and Amish
11:30 AM Depart for downtown Lancaster
12:05 PM Springhouse Brewery
1:30 PM Depart for the Amtrak station, then the train home to Latrobe

Prima La Comunita’s October 20 fall foliage Train Trip to Altoona. It was a great time and we’d like to extend a special thank you to everyone who joined us on this excursion. I’m missing photos from the Boyer candy store and from our lunch at the all you can eat sirloin buffet and probably a bunch more but here are a few more pics of the wonderful day that we had. This was our second trip to Altoona the first one with 35 people on October 6 and the second today with 34, one person wasn’t able to make it today. I hope you enjoy the photos and who knows we might try one more before the leaves fall.

Thanks to everybody who joined us on our October 6 trip to Altoona. Amtrak Train was right on time and it was a smooth ride. Altoona surprised most all of us on how vibrant their city is and all the things they have to offer. Here’s a few pics of what we saw. I don’t want to share a whole lot cause on October 20 we are on the rails again. We’d also like to give a special thank you to Chief Bosco and the Latrobe Police department for showing up to send us off and helping some of our passengers board the train. Thank you Chief and keep up the great work.

Borromini!! A great place to dine in downtown Philly! Visiting Kim and Matt after our adventure in Rehoboth. Great adventures this trip that combined wonderful old memories with new. Life is short, enjoy everyday and don’t miss opportunities to get you out and about!
