🎉 We're Back! Our Centers Are Open!

This week our four Learning Centers opened their doors for the new school year — and the energy was exactly what we hoped for.

Here's what week one looked like:

📚 Students back at the tables for reading help and homework, getting their new learning plans started
🤗 Returning kids running in to hug staff they hadn't seen after a few weeks — and new faces finding their spot
👏 Our Center Directors and volunteers ready and waiting, snacks out, doors open after school
📖 Bible study back in the rhythm of the week

There is nothing quite like the first week. New pencils, new goals, and a room full of kids who know they have somewhere to go after school.

And we're not done — our fifth Center opens at the David Hoggard Family Community next week! The Historic Westside, we're coming.

🙏 Will You Pray With Us?

Our students just finished their first week back at school, and this Monday our Centers open for the year. Before those doors swing open, we're asking our Club Christ family to cover this season in prayer.

Here's how you can pray:

📖 For our students — that they'd settle into their classrooms with confidence, make good friends, find favor with their teachers, and grow in their reading this year.

🏫 For opening day Monday — for smooth first afternoons, full rooms, and every child to feel welcomed and safe from the moment they walk in.

👩‍🏫 For our staff and Center Directors — for energy, patience, wisdom, and hearts that stay soft through the long afternoons.

🤝 For our volunteers — that God would send exactly who we need, and that every tutoring hour would matter more than they know.

🏡 For our families — for peace in their homes, provision for their needs, and trust as they hand us their kids each afternoon.

✝️ For hearts to be reached — that this would be the year a child comes to know Jesus for the first time.

🎒 What a Day at Hoggard! 🎉

Our community event at the David Hoggard Family Community was everything we hoped for and more. Face painting, a bounce house, food, and free backpacks loaded with school supplies — but the best part was watching families come out, meet our staff, and see what's about to open right in their neighborhood.

A huge thank you to the LVMPD COP officers who joined us and spent the afternoon last Wednesday connecting with the community. This partnership is the reason we found this location in the first place, and having you there meant everything.

And the number that says it all: 20 kids enrolled in Club Christ that day. 🙌

Twenty students who will have a safe place to go after school, help with their reading, mentors who know their names, and the chance to know Jesus.

We're just getting started — enrollment continues over the next couple of weeks leading up to opening day, and we can't wait to see how many more kids walk through those doors.

🎉 Welcome Deborah to the Club Christ Team! 💙

We're excited to introduce Deborah, our very first Assistant Center Director! This new role was created to better support our Center Directors and strengthen the care, consistency, and encouragement our students receive each day.

Deborah will be serving alongside Kaila at our Hoggard Learning Center, bringing her experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and her passion for helping children learn, grow, and thrive.

Deborah has a heart for investing in kids, sharing the love of Jesus, and creating a place where every child feels safe, welcomed, and loved. Her joyful spirit and passion for serving others make her a wonderful addition to the Club Christ family.

Please join us in giving Deborah a warm welcome! We can't wait to see all God will do through her as she serves the students and families at Hoggard. ❤️

A huge thank you to The Crossing Church for their incredible generosity through their annual shoe drive! Because of your kindness, every Club Christ student received a brand-new pair of shoes to start the school year.

A new pair of shoes is about so much more than footwear. It gives children confidence as they walk into the classroom, helps relieve a financial burden for families, and reminds every student that they are seen, valued, and loved.

Thank you, The Crossing Church, for walking alongside our students and helping them begin this school year with confidence. We are so grateful for your partnership and your heart for the next generation! ❤️👟

As another school year begins, we're incredibly grateful for the amazing partners who helped equip our students with backpacks filled with school supplies.

A heartfelt thank you to Avenue Church, Canyon Ridge Christian Church, Anthony Paglia Law, and Olive Crest for your generosity and commitment to the children we serve.

A new backpack is more than just school supplies—it gives a child confidence, helps families facing financial challenges, and reminds every student that their community believes in them.

🎉 Staff Retreat Recap! 🎉

Last Friday, our Club Christ team took a break from the Centers for a mini staff retreat — a great chance for our newer team members to get to know the whole crew outside the daily hustle.

The day wrapped up with some healthy competition at Dave & Buster's, where laughs, high-fives, and a little friendly trash talk were in full effect. 🕹️🏆

Moments like these remind us that behind every kid we serve is a team that loves each other well — because a united staff is what makes a united mission possible.

Grateful for this crew and excited for what God has in store this year! ❤️

🎉 We're Excited to Welcome Kaila! 🎉

Please join us in welcoming Kaila as the new Center Director of our Hoggard Learning Center!

Originally from Hawaii and now calling Las Vegas home, Kaila brings a heart for serving children and a passion for helping them feel safe, seen, and loved. She holds an Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education and is committed to creating a place where every child can grow academically, build meaningful relationships, and discover God's love.

As we prepare to open our fifth Learning Center, we're grateful God has brought Kaila to Club Christ for such a time as this. We can't wait to see the difference she'll make in the lives of the children and families at Hoggard.
