Save the date… Jingle in July is back! ☀️🎄 In just SIX WEEKS, CORE will transform summer into a holiday celebration for a cause at the 2nd Annual Jingle in July — an evening of creativity, community, cocktails, and festive fun supporting students and families across Southern Nevada.

Thank you to the NV Energy Foundation for supporting CORE’s Career We Can programming, and to NV Energy for welcoming our Findlay MS scholars for a Power Up! field trip. Scholars had the opportunity to tour the facility, learn about career pathways in the energy sector, hear from team members about their day-to-day work, and see firsthand the many roles that help power our community.

Such a great time at Findlay’s End of Year Celebration! 🎉

Seeing the relationships our team and scholars have built throughout the year was truly extraordinary. Moments like these are such a reminder that mentorship, encouragement, and community matter. 💙

CORE partnered with Your Perfect Footwear and NAMI over the last month and worked on some amazing initiatives. Scholars from different schools and organizations partnered for 3 weeks to discuss self-confidence, mental health awareness, and community engagement. Scholars engaged in deep conversations about how to address mental health awareness in their daily lives and in their schools. They were able to research intitiatives that have been introduced into schools across the country, and they worked on creating their own intitiatives. By the 3rd week, scholars were able to present their policy to prominent figures in the community. It was amazing to see the scholars advocating for not only themselves but others as well, and we believe it lit a spark in them to continue to have a voice and speak for necessary shifts in our systems to support youth in their journey through school. Yesterday was the culmination of the workshop, and through Your Perfect Footwear, scholars who participated were able to recieve a free new pair of shoes. Thank you to both Your Perfect Footwear and NAMI for providing this opportunity for our scholars.
