Huntridge Theater owner J Dapper presented updates to the City of Las Vegas Historic Preservation Commission Wednesday, claiming a cell tower behind the building continues to delay construction.

Happy 80th birthday to the historic Theatre! Just a few years ago we were celebrating it's legacy through the decades at our exhibition at Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas. Many of the artifacts on display, with a few more on the way, are housed in a public archive at the Museum for posterity.

At 80 years, the Huntridge has now outlasted the Tropicana Hotel, which was around for 67 years until its implosion yesterday. Long live the Huntridge!

Historic preservation doesn't happen overnight.

Thank you to all who played a part in this iconic building's life and for your continued shared advocacy. At 79 years young, she's still shining! Kudos to Dapper Companies on a fabulous relighting ceremony. It's never been more clear that our community wants the Huntridge Theatre back open!
