Cheerio just got neutered. Shockingly enough he isn’t as old as we thought he was. Our boy is only two years old 😱. He is still malnourished but has been gaining weight and eating well since Thursday. We are looking for a longterm foster for our boy while he continues to eat and gain weight. If you are willing to open your home, please reach out.

We are still waiting on Honey’s exam, but she has also been eating well and relaxing in her favorite chair.

Meet Cheerio and Honey!

These two older, very friendly cats were dumped at The Gardens Community Center in a metal crate and left to suffer (unfortunately no cameras or microchips). Luckily the security team took them in and reached out to us. They are both incredibly skinny but are eating ravenously. Cheerio is a unneutered male who will go in next week and Honey is an ear tipped spayed female. Both are safe and will be looking for adopters or long term senior fosters. We are hoping at finding them a home to rest up, eat and feel love/compassion that their previous owner obviously lacked.

Thanks to all the support we received, we reached our goal and were able to pay off Mango’s entire surgery. Mango is doing well following his intense entropion procedure. He is eating and has been able to close his eyes fully (probably a first for him). He still has 3 weeks left before his stitches fall out (hence the crustiest around the eyes) and then we will be looking at making him a permanent feral in our rescue space once fully recovered. The key is to have limited interaction so he doesn’t tear up the stitches. It truly takes a village and we are incredibly grateful for ours!

Day 2 of our community yard sale to pay off Mango’s major eye surgery is underway. Mango is recovering well, eating and we are working to keep him calm through the process.

Thanks to all our supporters and the day 1 garage sale, we are just shy of $200 from paying off his bill.

Please continue to spread Mango’s story to others or stop by and get great items for incredibly fair prices. We still have tons of items left for animals, aquariums, furniture, glassware and more.

Remember the two moms and their day old litters of seven total kittens we took in Easter weekend? Well just look at this group now. Everyone is thriving. Miriam and her five babies will be transitioning into adoptions in about a month as well as Mary and her two (already spoken for). For all the twists and turns, we always enjoy the small wins.

Meet Mango- a six year old freshly neutered colony cat who needs your help to give him the ability to live a more comfortable life. Mango just went in today to have both eyes surgically fixed for entropion (the inward folding of the eye leading to permanent damage including blindness if left untreated). We have been hit hard recently with rescue bills and this honestly might be the breaking point financially for us. We do everything the right way for our rescues. Please consider donating any amount possible to make this a reality for Mango and keep us afloat. Please also share to everyone you know.
