A trip down memory lane back to where it all started 🩵
When our sweet Addy was diagnosed just over 8 years ago, we brought her home from the hospital, along with all the knowledge that Sacred Heart Hospital was able to pack into us. We immediately realized that this new scary disease and new life was more than we could take on alone. We craved community and resources . After arriving back to the LC Valley, we found that there was no real community for those living with type one diabetes, we saw a couple different friend groups, and heard from a lot of people that we knew that we’re also type one, but hadn’t found a way to get involved with other families affected by this disease. Hometown T1D was born!
We first started with a color run, and this beloved event lasted a few years, before we realized that we needed to make an even greater impact on those type diabetes! And finding a way that even more people can get involved!
We now have the Hometown T1D fourth annual fall festival! Same mission, same community, bigger impact. 🩵 all funds raised from this fall festival are directly poured back into the T1D community in the LC Valley thru support groups, educational opportunities, supplies, assistance, and so much more!
See you October 3rd & 4th, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. both days. Located at the Nez Perce County Fairgrounds!
