Strength is not suffering in silence. Strength is reaching out, speaking up, and supporting one another when life gets heavy. Whether you’re struggling yourself or walking beside someone who is, please remember that help is always available and there is absolutely no shame in asking for it.

Here with Indian Country Hunts, we KNOW the outdoors has a way of bringing healing, connection, and purpose to those who need it. And we encourage people to get outside, do the things you love, and make memories with your people. You never know if you need it, or the people around you need it.
We are proud to stand behind events and people who advocate for mental health awareness and su***de prevention, especially across Indian Country.

If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline at 988. Available 24/7.

You matter. Your life matters. 🩵💜

Thunderhill Showdown Update – July 12, 2026

The Thunderhill Showdown 5K Run/Walk is coming up fast, and we’re excited to keep the momentum going. We’re proud to share that we’ve officially partnered with SPIN – Su***de Prevention of the Inland Northwest, strengthening our mission to bring awareness, support, and hope to our community.

We also have two sponsors on board so far, and we’re pushing hard to bring more in. Now that school is wrapped up for the moment, I’ll be more active with updates, outreach, and event prep as we head toward race day.

Thank you to everyone who’s been supporting, sharing, and showing up. More announcements coming soon — stay tuned.

Tomorrow needs you.
988 is a lifeline.

Women’s Spotlight ——

Keirsten Moses
Nez Perce Tribe
2021 Bison Harvest

Keirsten shared a vulnerable moment with us about losing her brother who had a love for hunting. And as we read this story, we are reminded of how the outdoors can hold much more than just harvests and the animals we’re chasing after.

For many of us, it also holds grief, love, healing, and connection to the people we wish were still here beside us. We carry them with us in every early morning, every sunset or sunrise we see, every mile walked, and every story told afterward.

Sometimes being outdoors is about being connected to the ones we buried too soon. Sometimes it’s about being alongside the people you love. Sometimes it’s just about getting out there and taking a break.

But sometimes some of us are reminded of the people who would loved to have been there. The ones who would have loved these moments, these hunts, these stories. But somehow, out there, they still feel close.

Like they never really left us at all.

Thank you Keirsten, for reminding us of something deeper than the hunt. 🤍

Tribal Hunter Spotlight ——

Kobe Gardipy
Red Pheasant Cree Nation
2025 Bull Elk Harvest

This spotlight coming in all the way from Saskatchewan, Canada! 🇨🇦 Kobe put in the work for this big bull. After days of tracking, covering ground, and working calls that brought in multiple bulls, it came down to a tight window and Kobe made it happen. And then the work started for a strenuous pack out through water and land.

That’s when these hunts mark down the memory of the animal, the grind, and having your brothers beside you. Truly something remarkable.

Congrats to Kobe and his crew on a successful 2025 hunt! 🔥

2026 Black Bear Harvest

Starting our Friday out spotlighting a Tribal Hunter from the Tulalip Tribes, TyReec Hernandez with his massive 2026 black bear harvest!

TyReec and his bros, Jarren, and Luke locked in on this black bear and made it happen. Putting in the work, packing him out through thick timber like a solid crew does.

Long days, hard work, patience, and some of your favorite people beside you…that’s what it’s all about. 🤝🏽

For Rowdy, this is more than a hunt. It’s connection, discipline, and a young man building something that will outlast him!

Keep going, kid! The path you’re on matters.

Tribal Hunter Spotlight ——

Darwin St. Clair Jr
Eastern Shoshone Tribe
2025 Bison Harvest

Back on ancestral ground, below the Grand Tetons, this Eastern Shoshone family brought something full circle. A drawn tag from the Wind River Reservation turned into their first bison harvest in over three generations. There’s something truly powerful in bringing back tradition, and having your favorite people there to witness it.

This is what Indian Country Hunts is about. Thanks to the St. Clair family for sharing their hunt with us and goodluck in the years to come! 🦬🌲
