Sullivan County Victim Services will be closed on Friday, June 19th, in observance of Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality and justice.

As we honor this important day in our nation's history, we encourage our community to take time to reflect, learn, and recognize the significance of Juneteenth.

While our office will be closed, our 24-hour crisis hotline remains available for anyone in need of support:

Today, for World Elder Abuse Awareness Day we encourage you to learn more about elder abuse. It's sometimes difficult to identify because we might misclassify it as a "normal" part of aging, so being able to recognize the signs of abuse could protect you or your older loved ones.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, Sullivan County Victim Services raised $1,898 last week during NEPA Gives, surpassing our goal of $1,500!

We are truly grateful to everyone who supported our campaign through online donations, attended our Scoops of Hope event, shared our posts, encouraged others to give, and helped spread awareness about our mission. Every dollar raised will help us continue providing free and confidential services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other serious crimes throughout Sullivan County.

Your support sends a powerful message that victims in our community are not alone. Together, we are creating hope, healing, and safety for those who need it most.
