Operation Feed LaPorte County

This is Hudson VanWaardenburg; a 6th grader at South Central and LaPorte County 4-Her. He's pictured with the first bow hunted deer! If you know anything about hunting, that’s a HUGE accomplishment.
We’re telling you this because after the excitement settled slightly, he told his mom and dad he wanted to donate this hunt to the food pantry 🥹
Hudson’s mom and dad will be paying for processing at Elkins and this will be one of quite a few deer that are donated to our organization to help those in LaPorte County.
We cannot thank Hudson and his family enough for thinking of others. Also, CONGRATULATIONS on your first bow deer 💙 Responsible hunting helps so many in our communities 💙 and we are very grateful!
If you have a deer to donate, please reach out to us ASAP and we will happily coordinate processing fees and distribution.

💙 Tonight a few of our board members were able to help a few pantries fill their freezers and help our communities.
We’re grateful to bridge the gap between locally grown protein and those in need.
⚖️ 3,000 lbs of pork
🍔 400 lbs of hamburger
🍖 53 lbs of ground lamb
This assistance is made possible through generous support from NIPSCO and the NiSource Charitable Foundation, with funding administered locally by Unity Foundation of La Porte County.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Operation Feed LaPorte County ❤️

On behalf of the New Carlisle Community Food Pantry, I want to express our sincere gratitude to Operation Feed LaPorte County for the wonderful donation of meat to our pantry.

This donation truly could not have come at a more perfect time. As we begin our new food delivery program, we are reaching more families, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and people without reliable transportation who need a little extra help getting food to their homes.

Having quality protein to include with these groceries is such a blessing. Donations like this allow us to stretch our resources further and make sure the families we serve receive more than just a box of food—they receive a box filled with care, dignity, and hope.

We are incredibly thankful for organizations like Operation Feed LaPorte County that believe in working together to take care of our neighbors.

Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us feed our community.

It truly takes a village, and we are grateful you are part of ours. ❤️
