DOUBLE THE TERRIER, DOUBLE THE TROUBLE! 🐾

Meet Dendrite and Meninges! πŸ’•

These two pint-sized siblings were picked up as strays, and while we don't know what adventures they were getting into before arriving at the shelter, we have a feeling they were probably the ones starting them. πŸ˜‚

πŸ–€ DENDRITE (black and white 1 year old male): That's the face of a dog who has absolutely no regrets. He's smiling because he knows something you don't. Probably because he just did something he wasn't supposed to.

🀎 MENINGES (tan and white 1 year old female): That's the face of a dog who is waiting for instructions. She has questions. Lots of questions. Mostly about why her brother is like this.

Don't let their size fool you. These two are approximately 10% dog and 90% PERSONALITY.

⚑ Energy? Yes.
❀️ Love for people? Absolutely.
πŸ• Dog friends? You bet!
πŸ˜‡ Perfectly behaved little angels? Let's not get carried away.

Like most Jack Russells, Dendrite and Meninges have big personalities packed into tiny bodies. They're sweet, energetic, and ready to keep their future families entertained.

They're looking for active homes that appreciate the wonderful chaos that comes with terrier ownership. Experience with terriers is a big plus, and smaller canine companions are recommended due to their size.

If your ideal dog is small enough to carry but has the confidence of a 150-pound Great Dane, one of these two might be your perfect match. 🐾

For more information about Dendrite or Meninges, you can submit an adoption inquiry here:

Or stop by the shelter to meet them! No appointment needed!

Behind every stray cat you see walking the streets is a silent life spent purely in survival mode. They wake up each day not knowing where their next meal will come from, with no warm bed to curl into when the heavy rain falls, no safe sanctuary when danger strikes, and no gentle hand to comfort them when they are sick or scared.

They did not choose to be abandoned, and they did not choose a life on the cold pavement. So the next time you cross paths with a stray cat, please choose kindness. Leaving out a small bowl of food, a dish of clean water, a dry makeshift box, or simply letting them pass by unharmed can mean the absolute world to a soul that is struggling to hold on. The streets are already hard enough on them, so please, let us never make it harder. Will you help us be a voice for the forgotten outdoor kitties today?

Meet Graham Cracker! πŸ–€πŸ€ŽπŸ€πŸ€ŽπŸ–€ He is just under three months old and weighs just over one pound! Graham Cracker loves leafy greens and is a dapper gentleman! He enjoys saying hello to new friends and becomes more extroverted and curious each time we give him the chance to explore (supervised and safely, obviously!).

Graham Cracker lives with one of his younger guinea pig brothers and really loves the company of other male guinea pigs. He can definitely be adopted with one of his brothers who are at MHS with him, or he can be adopted into a family that has a nice male guinea pig at home who needs a new buddy! 🐾🐹🐾

We love our time with Graham Cracker. Plus, he takes being cute to a whole new level. He is irresistibly darlingπŸ–€πŸ€ŽπŸ€πŸ€ŽπŸ–€

There is a cat on your street who will sleep outside tonight, and the nights are getting colder. 🧑

Straw is the detail most people get wrong. Blankets and towels soak up damp and freeze, and hay does the same, while straw stays dry and lets a cat burrow down into the straw. A plastic tub lined with foam board, with a doorway about six inches wide, keeps the heat in and the bigger animals out. Rescue groups build hundreds of these every autumn from the same short list.

One afternoon, a whole winter warmer. πŸ’›

Send this to the neighbour who feeds the street cats. 🐾

***Foster to Adopt Family Found!!!****

*** Currently being treated for heartworm!!!***οΏΌ

Hi there, friends! It's me β€” Agave! πŸŒ΅πŸ’š
I'm 1 year old, I'm a girl, and I'm a great dog β€” at least that's what everyone here keeps telling me!
I was found as a stray and no one ever came to claim me. But I'm not letting that get me down, because I am friendly, sweet, and social! I LOVE being around people. People are my favorite. If you're a person, we're already best friends.
Right now, I'm currently being treated for heartworm, so I'm looking for a special foster-to-adopt situation. That just means I need a cozy place to rest and heal while I get my treatment, and someone extra kind to help me through it. I'll still give you all my love β€” I just need a little extra love and care back.
Because I was a stray, they don't know how I would be with other pets or small kids. What they DO know is that I'm just an overall great girl.
I'm hoping to find a loving home where I'll get love, kindness, and patience while I adjust to new surroundings. A soft bed, gentle words, and someone who won't mind if I lean right up against them for cuddles.
If you have room in your home and your heart for a sweet girl who is healing and ready to bloom...
I'm your girl.

All my love,

Agave 🐾
