2026 NABTU Legislative Conference ✅
Our members from leadership and Business Managers headed to Washington, D.C. for the NABTU Legislative Conference—meeting with senators in their home local territory, while in D.C, to keep projects moving forward and to award more jobs to union labor.

Tuesday's speakers included: NABTU President Sean McGarvey, AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler, Governor of New Jersey Mikie Sherrill, Senator Chuck E. Schumer of New York, Senator Brian Schatz of Hawaii, Senator Elissa Slotkin of Michigan, and Congressman Greg Casar representing Texas, District 35, along with the presentation of the Mark H. Ayers Award.

Wednesday's lineup included: Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick representing Pennsylvania, District 1, Congressman Mike Lawler representing New York, District 17, and Seth Magaziner representing Rhode Island, District 2, as well as former Senator Click Bishop of Alaska, Maryland State Delegate Melissa Wells, and several other labor and community leaders.

From legislation protecting union jobs to policies expanding energy efficiency work, our members showed up ready to fight for the trades. This is what it looks like when labor goes to work.
