Langhorne Council for the Arts (LCA) is dedicated to providing creative outlets and fostering an appreciation for the arts in the Langhorne community. For the past 15 years, LCA has been actively bringing the arts to the community through a wide variety of events, including the Arts in the Garden Tour, Arts & Jazz Brunch, Community Art Projects, World Music concerts, and much more! LCA provides sc

holarships each spring to students in the 6th-11th grade who have talent and passion in the visual and performing arts, and who need support for enrichment activities.

The Langhorne Council for the Arts Summer Speakers Series concludes on Tuesday, Aug. 18, with a presentation by educator, author, and award-winning producer/director and documentary filmmaker, Prescott Seraydarian. If you attended the last presentation featuring Rachel Dorsey Wallace, you heard about the documentary Prescott's students made for the new African American Museum of Bucks County. Creating documentaries on social issues is an amazing way to learn, and Prescott is an amazing teacher.

Location: The Richardson House, corner of W. Maple and S. Bellevue Avenues
Presentation begins at 7:30 PM.

Donation of $5 at the door requested. Light refreshments will be served.

Note: There is now an accessible ramp into the Richardson House!

Friends, bring your lawn chairs or blanket to the African American Museum of Bucks County on Friday, Aug 14, 6:30 PM, for an outdoor concert by an amazing band from Senegal, Aba Diop Trio!
Aba Diop, Jason Hosier, and Youba Cissokho come together to share the joy, depth, and ancient rhythms of West African music with audiences around the globe. Their collaboration bridges continents and genres, offering a cross-cultural mix rooted in the rich griot traditions of Senegal and infused with fresh, contemporary energy. Instruments include sabar drum, guitar, and the 12-stringed kora. Together, they weave rhythm, melody, and tradition into a sound that is an invitation into an unforgettable musical journey.
