🍅 ➕ 🍎 As summer eases into fall here in Ohio, we have the widest variety of produce to choose from. Summer favorites like tomatoes & watermelon? Yes! Fall classics like apples and winter squash? Yes!

👩‍🌾 This Saturday morning, visit the Lancaster Farmers Market - August 29th AND the Keller Market House for all your local favorites, like seasonal produce, pasture-raised meats, fresh baked goods and more. You'll love the selection and you'll feel great supporting our small local farms and businesses.

As we enter this busy back-to-school season, making a plan to eat well is more important than ever. We can help! And don't forget - with our newly extended season, the Lancaster Farmers Market continues through October 31st!

🛻 Food Trucks: Wake up with a beverage from L-City Coffee +! This week, we'll also welcome Son In Law Pizza Company and Purdy Good Food LLC with brunch options. Find the food trucks right next to the Double Edge Brewing Co. patio, just across Chestnut Street. The brewery opens at 9am, so you can grab a drink in a DORA cup and sip while you shop!

🎶 Live Music: Local musician Jesse Warner will join us perform live while you stroll the market.

🪴 Community Tent: The Master Gardener Volunteers from Ohio State University Extension, Fairfield County will be at the farmers market to answer your gardening questions and share ideas on Planting a Fall Garden.

🛒 Keller Market House: Make sure to step inside our brick and mortal local foods store up on the corner for more local shopping! Open 7 days a week all year long, you'll find many of your farmers market favorites plus so much more.

The Master Gardener Volunteers from Ohio State University Extension, Fairfield County will be at the farmers market to answer your gardening questions and share ideas on Planting a Fall Garden!

Learn how you can plant now to enjoy veggies throughout the fall, or perennials to appreciate next year!

We’ll gather at The Henry Manor next Friday evening to celebrate local foods and to support the Keller Market House and Lancaster Farmers Market. You’ll enjoy a one-of-a-kind tasting menu designed to showcase the best of Ohio's summer harvest.

No need to choose - this "small plate" format will let you try everything! This culinary adventure will guide you through 10 small plates including ..

🌟 It's Kids' Day! Join us this Saturday for a fun morning full of free family activities. Kids Day at the Lancaster Farmers Market - August 8th

Special guests with free kids' activities will include:

• AHA! A Hands-On Adventure, A Children's Museum
• Lancaster-Fairfield Community Action Agency's Early Childhood Education
• Squirrel Scout Outdoor School
• Lancaster Montessori School

🧘‍♀️ 10:30am for Mini Yoga Adventures with Explore Me A Story - Mindful Nature Preschool

🌱 We'll be giving away our "Seed Money" Kids' Coupons so that kids can shop for free! Families with children ages 5 - 12, visit our Market Tent to learn more and sign up. While supplies last, each child will receive $10 worth of Seed Money to shop the market. This program is made possible through the generosity of the Buckeye Automotive Family of Lancaster as well as many individual donors.

🍎 We'll also be hosting a Free Fruit & Vegetable Coupon Distribution Event. Eligible families can receive coupons worth $140 in free local fruits & vegetables. (See our earlier post for all the details!)

What's the best part about Kids Day at the Lancaster Farmers Market - August 8th?

🌱 Kids can shop the market for free with our Seed Money Program!

💵 This Saturday from 8:30am to noon, youth ages 5-12 will receive $10 worth of Seed Money Kids' Coupons. Families can then explore the market together while kids shop with our vendors and learn about local food and how to budget their money.

🫶This program is generously supported by individual donors as well as the Buckeye Automotive Family of Lancaster. A big thank you to them for helping us to reach more families with this program!

How does it work?

▶️ Seed Money Kids' Coupons will be available on a first come first serve basis, while supplies last

▶️ One $10 packet per visiting child ages 5-12.

▶️ Accompanying parent or guardian must sign in at the Market Tent.

▶️ Coupons are only good at the Lancaster Farmers Market and expire at the end of the farmers market season.

Our third and final Kids' Day of the summer is coming, and it's going to be a big one!

Join us this Saturday for Kids Day at the Lancaster Farmers Market - August 8th from 8:30am until noon. It's a great opportunity for families to enjoy the farmers market with lots of free special activities for kids!

Plus, we'll have two opportunities to help our community enjoy the farmers market:

SEED MONEY KIDS' COUPONS:

Kids, come shop the market for free with our Seed Money Program!

On Kids' Day, youth ages 5-12 will receive $10 worth of Seed Money Kids' Coupons to shop the market. Families can then explore the market together while kids shop with our vendors and learn about local food.

Seed Money coupons will be available on a first come first serve basis, while supplies last. One packet per visiting child ages 5-12. Accompanying parent or guardian must sign in at the Market Tent.

This program is generously supported by the Buckeye Automotive Family of Lancaster. A big thank you to them for helping us to reach more families!

FAMILY FRUIT & VEGETABLE COUPONS:

We will also be hosting a sign up event for Produce Perks Midwest's Fruit and Vegetable Coupon Program!
