What kind of legacy will you leave?

Thank you to all who joined us Wednesday evening at Rhonemus Cellars for the kickoff of the Fairfield County Foundation's Legacy Society. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with supporters, donors and friends who believe in the power of giving back.

The Legacy Society honors those who include the Fairfield County Foundation in their estate plans, creating a lasting impact that will support community causes and needs for years to come. We are grateful for the thoughtful conversations and enthusiasm shared throughout the evening.

Thank you for helping us launch this exciting new initiative. Your generosity has the power to make a lasting difference in Fairfield County and help us continue our mission of "Building a legacy through philanthropy and stewardship to strengthen our community."

Since 2012, the Fairfield County Foundation has granted over $189,000 to the United Way of Fairfield County from the George & Dollie L. Zimpfer Fund and Terry A. McGhee/Sally J. Grimm Community Fund to support Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

This gift goes directly toward providing free, high-quality books to children in Fairfield County, helping inspire a love of reading and giving children the opportunity to dream, imagine and learn.

While Dolly Parton captured the hearts of millions through her incredible music and performances, her greatest legacy may be the lives she has touched through her generosity. Dolly devoted much of her life and millions of dollars to giving back, with a special passion for helping children and creating opportunities for them to grow and thrive.

Through the Imagination Library, Dolly’s belief in the power of a book and the importance of a child’s imagination continues to reach generations of children around the world—including right here in Fairfield County.

We are honored to support Dolly’s vision and will continue to support her legacy of giving, learning and making a difference in the lives of children.

Because a book can be more than a book—it can be the beginning of a dream.

Last Thursday, our Program Officers had the opportunity to attend the Scholarship Managers Summit hosted by Philanthropy Ohio . The summit brought together scholarship professionals from across the state to connect, collaborate, and share ideas around some of the most pressing topics in scholarship management.

Throughout the day, our team engaged in knowledge-sharing sessions, peer discussions, and networking opportunities that highlighted innovative practices and fresh approaches to scholarship programs. They especially enjoyed hearing how organizations are extending their reach, strengthening engagement, and creating meaningful impact for students and communities.

We are grateful for the chance to learn alongside such dedicated colleagues and to bring back new ideas that will help us continue enhancing our scholarship programs. Thank you, Philanthropy Ohio, for hosting a valuable day of connection and learning!
