IT'S FAIR WEEK!!

When visiting the Fairfield County Fair, make sure you check out the wonderful new all-accessible bathrooms and first aid station. This project was made possible by a generous gift from the Lloyd & Diann Helber Fund of the Fairfield County Foundation.

New and upgraded facilities were a real need at the fairgrounds, and this improvement will make a meaningful difference for the many people who attend the Fairfield County Fair and the numerous events held here throughout the year.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Lloyd and Diann, and the Helber family, for their generosity and commitment to our community. Your support helps make the fairgrounds and our entire community, a better place for everyone!

This week, we're highlighting the Lighthouse Fund!

The Lighthouse Endowment Fund was established in 2020 by Evelyn VanCamp to provide immediate, safe, and stable housing, along with essential crisis services, for individuals and families fleeing domestic violence. The fund helps ensure that those facing these difficult circumstances have access to the safety, stability, and support they need as they begin moving toward a safer future.

Make Your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) Make a Difference

If you’re age 70½ or older and must take RMD from your IRA, consider turning your required withdrawal into an opportunity to give back to Fairfield County.

A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) allows eligible IRA owners to make a charitable gift directly from their IRA to a qualified charity. The gift can count toward your RMD while supporting causes you care about in our community.

Why consider an IRA charitable gift?
• Satisfy all or part of your RMD
• Support local nonprofits and community needs
• Potentially reduce the taxable amount of your IRA distribution
• Make a meaningful charitable impact

A scholarship is a reminder that a community believes in a student's potential. Peyton's experience as a scholar, student-athlete, and community member has shaped her passion for education and inspired her to support others in the future. What an incredible evening! We’re feeling so grateful for the amazing community support behind our seventh annual 250 Plates event on Sunday, September 27th.

In partnership with Destination Downtown Lancaster, we came together for a memorable farm-to-table experience benefiting Keller Market House and the Fairfield County Food Pantries. From the incredible locally grown and raised ingredients to the talented chefs and restaurants who transformed them into an unforgettable menu, every detail reflected the generosity and spirit of our community.

A heartfelt thank-you to our sponsors, donors, farmers, producers, chefs, restaurants, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this special event possible. We look forward to seeing you at the table in 2027!
