Unfortunately Fairfield County is now under a level 3 public emergency. Face masks are required whenever you are out in public away from your home. First Community Kitchen will abide by the State and County guidelines while we are in a Level 3 Emergency. What this means for First Community Kitchen is that:
1. We will once again be serving our meals through the High Street elevator door. Breakfast is served between 9:00-9:30 a.m. Lunch is served between 12:00 - 12:30 p.m.
2. MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO RECEIVE A MEAL. You must be wearing a mask when you approach the door to pick up your meal. We do have a limited number of masks available to hand out and priority will be given to those who have NOT received a mask from First Community Kitchen.
3. Social distancing is to be followed. Please wait on the blue Xs on the sidewalk and allow space between you and the people ahead and behind you.
4. Restrooms will not be available while we are under the Level 3 Emergency. We are sorry for the inconvenience that this causes.
5. Please do not get upset with the volunteers or staff. This is for everyone's safety and we are just following state and county guidelines. Our goal is to be able to continue to serve meals throughout the COVID-19 crisis. We have continually served meals since the restrictions started back in early March and we have every intention of continuing to serve you, our extend family members.
6. If you have any questions or concerns, please ask to speak with Judy. She will do her best to address them.
7. Please remember that we love all of you. These restrictions frustrate us as much as they do you. However, this is our new normal and everyone needs to do what they can to get us through COVID. Thanks so much for understanding and cooperation!
