🍎 Help Us Welcome Our New Teachers! 📚✏️

The Lamesa Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome new teachers to Lamesa and our surrounding communities! This year, we’re putting together Welcome Bags to help them kick off the school year feeling appreciated and supported.

We estimate there will be around 100 new teachers, and we need your help to fill their bags!

We encourage all local businesses, organizations, and community members to donate items such as:
🖊️ Pens
🖍️ Highlighters
📝 Sticky notes
🖍️ Dry erase markers
🥤 Energy drinks
🎟️ Business coupons, gift certificates, or promotional items
🎁 And anything else that would brighten a teacher’s day!

Every donation, big or small, makes a difference and is a wonderful way to show our educators how much our community values them.

🍎 Help Us Welcome Our New Teachers! 📚

Each year, the Lamesa Area Chamber of Commerce looks forward to welcoming our new teachers with a special gift bag filled with goodies and helpful items as they begin their journey in our community.

We’re now accepting donations through August 7th to help fill these welcome bags! Every donation, big or small, lets our new educators know just how appreciated they are.

We’re collecting items such as:

City Hall will be closed on Friday in observance of Independence Day. 🇺🇸

Landfill will continue regular hours Friday
And will be closed July 4th .

LFR would like to remind the residents and guest of Lamesa, TX that there are NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED in the City of Lamesa.

When caught the fireworks will be confiscated and you could be fined up to $500.00.

Please be respectful of others and our county.

If you do fireworks in the county please take note:

- Make note that it has been very hot and watch for any dry areas that could catch fire.
- Pick up your firework trash, after it’s cooled down.
- Dispose of COLD fireworks.
