Every winter morning, before the sun's fully up, our forecasters are already digging into the data. ❄️ Do you check our forecasts before you go out? If so, you're not alone — we are the trusted source that local backcountry users rely on to help make informed decisions throughout the day so that they can come home safely.

Friends of the Flathead Avalanche Center supports this work. This is your chance to give back. Avalanches happened. Riders were caught and carried. Avalanche airbags were deployed.
We reached more than 2,500 people with our classes and workshops, and even more with our forecasts and Avy App.

These numbers tell an important story: knowledge matters. We want people to be prepared and informed in order to make better decisions in the backcountry. That’s our mission, and with your support we can continue to reach our backcountry community.

- Keep daily avalanche forecasts free all winter
