Across America, rural ambulance services are facing a growing challenge.

Many rural EMS agencies rely on volunteers, yet volunteer participation continues to decline while the demand for emergency medical services continues to grow. Recent national reports identify staffing shortages as one of the greatest threats to rural emergency care.

At Lakeside QRU, volunteer responders remain an important part of our ability to serve the communities of Lakeside, Somers, Lower Valley, and South Kalispell. When someone calls 911, the person responding is often a neighbor, friend, coworker, or community member who chose to step forward and serve.

You do not need to leave your community to make a difference. Whether you are already certified or interested in learning more about emergency response, we would like to talk with you.

If you have ever considered serving your community in a meaningful way, now is the time.
